  1. cheers matt. still unsure on the grill .. but it is now in the garage out of the rain.woooo!!
  2. as it shares the fluid with the brakes i would do a brake/clutch fluid change completely. and as said above keep bleeding the system until there is no air at all in there. i take it you have no leaks anywhere?
  3. no :-( he didn't spin where we were unfortunately.. one of my pics has a honda going across the grass in the background though!!
  4. well i went and got soaked on sunday at the grand prix. was still awesome to watch and because of the rain there were loads of incidents all over the place, made for a great day out! as usual i took loads of pics but because of the speed of the cars and the overcast rainy conditions not many came out very well at all :-( but here are some ok ones for ya.. our view from under the unbrella! start of the porsche race.. porsches .. and onto the grand prix proper .. [br br] and a victorious hamilton - both arms in the air.. woo!! :-d
  5. hmmm not too sure on those really. maybe dark smoked ones?
  6. could be the crank sensor. if that has died the ecu will not know the engine is turning over hence you get no spark. well worth getting it checked out with vag-com if you have access to it.
  7. i had some on mine for a while too.. thought they looked gash.. *-)
  8. MUCH better than the old quads, but i've never liked them an any mk3... just needs a deep chin spoiler now..
  9. 2.8 vr6 are all AAA code 2.9 vr6 are ABV code richie
  10. bulldog - both big and small light models had single lamp grilles. the 4 lamp was always on optional extra, except on the campaign..... may have to chop and change between them.. richie.. she is not a bad one mate. i'm not gonna put the d90's on it - just was bored and did a chop for a laff really. may have to find some 15" le castellets as they look about the same - ish..
  11. oh yeah - i've always loved mk1's.. had 2 when i was 19/20 and aways wanted a mars red one... managed quite a good deal really - sam sold her gti and i spent the money on a mk1.. result!! :-p you coming down my way anytime soon aimeeeeeee??
  12. yep arches and stripes definately staying and bumpers too. it's gonna be totally stock looking, maybe maybe with some coils and nice rims. that will be it though. lower and wheels is all it needs. he says. hmmmmm... :-p and you can be cheeky, but i won't tell you. lets just say, not a lot..
  13. took some decent piccies as the sun was out today, thought i'd get some shots as it was when i got it, before the massive clean up starts!! must loose the dodgy rear spoiler.. engine bay - filthy... must get cleaning.. mental note - no polishing!! nice tidy sills, bit of surface grot at the front but all solid as you like...no rot in the doors either.. front on.. need to get rid of the rear spoiler as i hate it, but it's bolted on through the bootlid :S may have to get another one for it.. and still undecided whether to keep the 4 lamp grill or put on the brand new genuine 2 lamper
  14. hmmmm no idea really. i don't imagine it would be too good though. heavy old engine to put in a mk1.. (it's bad enough in a mk3!! lol )
