  4. going by the shape of the rocker cover on the left side, and the manifold, i'm pretty damn sure that is a 24v one.. only way to find out for sure is to get the engine code and number off of it.

  8. it shuts off the external air, makes it internal recirculating only, hence heating up/cooling down faster . . . .

  11. I was shown the price on the computer in VW as £79+VAT. that is because for a golf it comes with the air intake pipe!! on a sharan it is a separate item, hence much cheaper!! :-p

  13. i would be VERY careful of that. a vr6 can overheat if full with just water - it NEEDS some antifreeze/coolant to keep cool not talking about long journeys or driving the car hard.... tbh i didnt notice any unusual temps coolio - as long as you didn't go far and kept an eye on the temps i'm sure it will be fine.. just a heads up though mainly for anyone else reading this

  15. G11 has been replaced with G12, which is replaced by G12+ which has now been replaced with G12++ all vw group vehicles use this..
