    hey peeps, it's been a while. not a great deal happening for me on the vr6 front, have taken the bbs off for the winter and to sell 8-) and am currently on some beetle 16" winters .... the more i look at them the more i like them though... doesn't half drive better on them too. catch ya soon

    my other half drives mine sometimes, but it's always kinda scarey for me.. +o( especially if she is out in it without me..she always claims not to rag it but ??????? at least she is very good at not hitting kerbs!!

    climate would have been an option when ordered new, as also would be the recaros. unfortunately not a highline, as said above black and purple only with colour matched leathers.. do your recaros have bluey-green stiching or red??

    dunno why but this makes me laugh..

    i think the bolt which holds the gear cable into the shift weight has come loose. goes down vertically through the cable end into the big weight. if the cable gets pulled through one way you will loose reverse, if it goes the other you will loose 5th. does your gear lever feel like it's moved over slightly to one side???

    quite common matey.. the lever inside will have broken. if you look between the movable handle and its surround there is a small rectangular slot in the top edge. sut a small flat blade in here and gently wiggle it up and down . you should be able to release it and get in with no damage. then buy new one and swap over... like this... except i'd go in just under the surround so as not to damage the glove box itself..

    beetle steels for sure fit. 5x100 straight on ... look pretty good too. not sure about the passat steels, they may be 15" and be too small, beetle ones are spot on being 16"

    yes mate they are different, windsor blue is darker i believe and mystic goes very purply in the sun..

    naaah i'll be keeping the seats mike :-p trouble is i use the vr as a daily ride, the wheels get dirty pretty quick. cleaning them is a mission, getting in round the bolts and inbetween each of the spokes :@ does my head in to be fair....
