    more mk1-ness.. finally got the tailgate sorted out, managed to get a very nearly rust free one which needed painting so ages ago i stripped it and primered it .. then i took it to my mates paint and body shop and we took it almost back to bare metal all over primed and painted it then wet flatted it off laquered it and after drying (duh!!) off with the old and on with the new.. :-d sticker was a pain to say the least, plenty of heating and stretching to get it right all done, much better i took it to the mk1 golf meet this summer, so put it back to totally standard for a while, so

    mini update, not much going on for me on the vr front, have swapped over the indicators and side reps for dark ones, and fitted a grille colour matched to the wheels with a silver badge, for a change.. have put the front plate back on, ran out of tape so went to the shop to get some and took this on the way back! not too sure on the grille, better in black ??? wheels may be for sale soon, anyone interested?? 7.5x17 all round BMW fit with adaptors and tyres..:-p

    Yeah will get the bonnet done soon 2 match the car also got a set of D90s 7.5x16 and 9x16 to go on soon!!! cool' date=' then it will look like mine used to when i had d90's..

    and there you have it, my lemans 09 5 day trip in about 30 pics... :-d i think it sums up what was an excellent weekend, again! well recommended to anybody who is even vaguely interested in cars, not just total petrol heads. roll on 2010!!

    thursday morning off we go.. find out the girls have chinaman hats and fake 'tashes... set up camp for the weekend.. beers getting cool.. nice porsche.. some old audi thing... 2 idiots!! in the pits, porsche and astons, mmmmmmmm!! and some audi course cars crashed!! the eiffel tower, motorised?? *-) how big is your camp?? wide screen, stack system, sink???!!!!!! lounging in the pool (h) note the vr6oc polo shirt..

    you should do le mans - it is ace!! have been going for a few years now, well worth every penny... get a hold of travel destinations http://www.traveldestinations.co.uk/ they do a good package deal. this year we paid £280 each, for 5 days. left thursday morning came home monday night. that price includes ferry, 5 day race ticket and campsite pass for the car!! if you like good roads, warm weather, camping, bbqs, cars and sunny weather you'll be lovin it!! .. :-d and the track is mostly open to drive round on thursday and friday too.

    with 4 big-ass lights.... :-d like this :- ^^^^^^ this was before it started getting dark. then when it starts getting dark you set the lights off by remote (like a flash) if you stand a way away it looks like this :- then up close it looks like this ... :-
