  1. My girlfriend has these on her MX-5. They are indeed a very shiney wheel. Clean up nicely. Very good prices too.
  2. Remember when I said eek? This is why. Did you ring Nic Saran? They should have chips in stock..
  3. *shocked at his reserve status* It was my bloody suggestion!
  4. Right then. The poll decided it. It's cabrio time (well, winter anyway) I'm gonna patch my poor VR6 back together for the time being and wait until the winter comes along and MKIII Cabrios are a bit cheaper. (I watched them all increase by £500 on Autotrader because the sun was out yesterday!) If anyone knows of someone selling one let me know.. as long as there's no rust or dents I don't care what condition the rest is in.. cheaper the better.. and you can look forward to having your faces torn off by my 300 bhp bling bling golf next year. Still see you all at Stealth in October.. car'll l
  5. I'm considering breaking mine. Unfortunately it's hands of the engine and gearbox I'm afraid.
  6. Think I'm gonna just pop it all back together for the short term and keep an eye out for a cheap, high mileage cabby. Also looked at an Audi Coupe Quattro but I dunno if the engine'll fit.. [ Edited Fri May 14 2004, 02:59PM ]
  7. Suprise Element. I love seeing the faces of so called 'performance car' drivers when my scruffy old golf has just blown them out of the water!
  8. I went a bit too quick (110mph coming out of 3rd). Thought I was on a nice long stretch of road, but I wasn't.. there was a roundabout just off to the left (right out of view) Hit the kerbed roundabout at about 50-60mph, through the bushes and got stuck in the mud. Damage - Front Wheels totalled, Offside Wishbone bent, Roll Bar Linkage broken, Off side Drive shaft bent, Broken Headlight (MK4 ones too), broken Indicator (crystal), some more plastic bits. It really isn't that bad considering the speed I was going, before I even touched the brakes I knew I wasn't going to stop in time. My own fau
  9. I think there'd be handling problems in a Mk1 due to the sheer weight of the engine. I'd love to drop it all into a Mk4 polo but it'd have the same problems as a Mk1 conversion.
  10. I considered this actually.. anybody know where I could pick up a flat bed Caddy?
  11. I crashed my VR.. and it's broken. Pics coming soon..

    funding.

Get away from Debt? HAHAHAHAHHA... *cough* HAHAHAHA!
  13. Anybody had a rear ender and ruined their rears? If so, I need to get my hands on a Set of Front Coilovers. Cash Waiting. Anyone know if anywhere sells them separately?
  14. eek.. hope the charger was cheap! You should be able to purchase a New Chip from Nic Saran Racing. Duno how much.. Be sure which size pulley you have too otherwise fuelling'll be all over the place with the wrong chip!
  15. dude. have you looked inside a VR6 MAF yet? I wouldn't fancy cleaning those super-delicate wires! From what I've read, cleaning doesn't help anyway. If it's f00ked, it's f00ked.
  16. Eh.. we've all been there. It wasn't so long ago I was driving a 1.3 C-reg Astra trying to convince everyone it had a GTe lump in it! I'm still a boyracer at heart.. so it doesn't bother me if someone has a go. A Show of true power and Torque soon slaps em down..
  17. It'll be worth the wait.. One off engine bay is what everyone desires..
  18. well that would have been the next step.. However.. I've removed ECU relay 109 and it gives exactly the same symptoms, so I'm gonna change that and see how I go..
  19. Mines not fitted, but I look at it and hope the performance gives me more of a buzz than the look of it does. Ain't they fricken ugly? I'm disputing whether to polish or paint mine right now..
  20. You can reset it with Vag-com. However.. it'll just come straight back on again when you start driving.
  21. I got mine direct from VAG. Can't rembmer how much.. they were my first mod!
