  1. If you've bought this month's PVW there's an e-mail address - pvw@unity-media.com Drop them a spec of your car and wait and see!
  2. Mina - Have you got an invite to a thrash yet? I think PVW may have forgotten about me.. eViL's comin after ya!
  3. I'm an OBD1 owner. Fact is OBD2 management handles the air coming through the intake better than the OBD1, thus providing more efficient fuelling. Making it slightly better in performance.
  4. I thought traction control worked via the ABS system..
  5. Well I looked high and low for something suitable.. B&Q ect ect.. I found a place that does 'feeder pipes' for induction kits in the size I needed. Gonna wrap it up so it doesn't wear down again. Wasn't cheap either. I actually found the perfect shaped piece of stainless pipe on my old Scorpion exhaust, however the bore is only 2.5inch and I needed 3inch. Might still have a go hooking it up tomorrow.. *primes the grinder*
  6. I reckon I'd be up for this..
  7. I've got in touch with VF-enginerring to see what the beef is.. I'll post the reply. New Piping goes in tomorrow..
  8. ALSO - Check this! (taken from the VF-engineering Website) Re-tuned supercharger intake 12Dec03 Updated supercharger intake pipe for all 91-99.5 VR6 engines. The position of the bypass return spout has been moved from the end of the pipe that is coupled to the intake of the Supercharger to the other end so it is closer to the MAF. This update will dramatically improve deceleration off throttle. The new intake design is supplied on all kits going forward from 12Dec03 and when fitted to the 95 or earlier VR6 engines will no longer require the MAF to be extended with the flexiduct we used to sup
  9. OK right then.. so if it's the RECIRCULATED air that confuses the MAF sensor.. wouldn't it be common sense to fit an ATMOSPHERIC dump valve so the air isn't recirculated? or is this not viable? HELP ME GOD!

  11. cruising at 80mph would give me an average Oil temperature of 84 degrees and water temp of around 75-80. I'd say you were running a little warm. Wouldn't worry too much, but to be safe check your coolant, oil and check that all your temperature sensors are working correctly. Always better to be safe than sorry. I've learnt the hard way.. I only ever had an oil temperature of over 120 once and that was after a blast from Bognor Regis at 3 in the morning at an average speed of around 120mph all the way. (emergency) But I'm no expert.
  12. I had a go with a Williams in my Pug and to be honest, I was disappointed it didn't give me a whipping. Don't get me wrong.. it was a little faster.. but nothing to write home about!
  13. Mine handles pretty good anyway.. er.. don't see the problem. and Yes.. it looks just so much better slammed.
  14. check out the rieger front bumpers. They do a really sexy R32 bumper now. Nice 'n' aggresive.
  15. ps - for best prices on rieger stuff try http://www.tuning.co.uk/rieger cheapest prices [ Edited Fri Apr 09 2004, 12:13PM ] [ Edited Fri Apr 09 2004, 12:14PM ]
  16. I have that grille. I like the bumper but I reckon it might be prone to a lot of damage lower down depending on the ride height. (I know it'd get screwed on my car within days) Don't like the lamps. Angel eyes or Mk4 style much nicer. Skirts are rank. M3 skirts are awful on golfs. Sorry. Spoiler. NO! Brock B1's all the way. Azevs are pretty cool, but I always see them as a mk4 wheel for some reason. I like the reiger rear. In fact, I love most of the reiger stuff. There's a toned down version of the rear you've illustrated, on which the grille isn't quite as wide. Plus most Reiger stu
  17. I'd agree with that.. disconnecting the ISV is just a short term solution to the driveability issues. It's likely I'll design a pipe specially so that the MAF doesn't read the re-circulated boost. I've got an idea of the shape, then I just need to get it made up. Anyone else wanna order one if it works? think I'll have to patent it..

    Anybody?

In simple terms you need to find an experienced Nitrous dealer/fitter who can fit a system that will suit your car and your needs. Truth is.. doing it this way won't be cheap.. but peace of mind with these things is far more important.
  19. Mine's on it's ass.. which in turn becomes a pain in the ass. But I like the look so I put up with the scraping, rubbing ect..
  20. I moved the air-flow meter closer to the charger, however.. the re-circulated boost was confusing it.. causing the car to cough, splutter and stall occasionally. I disconnected the idle stabliser valve and et voila! It works fine.. so far. Even feels much smoother and faster on boost now. Only problem is.. car will be cack when it's cold. So I'm going to fit a switch to the idle valve so I can switch it off once warm.
