  1. Just so happens I have one for sale..
  2. I have a not quite so cheap Schrick Manifold for Sale in the classified section. But it comes with 5 months warrantee at stealth!
  3. Yes you do. They don't need to be Hubcentric. 3mm spacers are fine, and don't forget you can adjust the position of the wheels slightly too.. (don't ask me how though..)
  4. AS we all know, PMs have gone. If you PM'd me the last couple of days regarding the stuff you want to buy, please do so again, as I probably haven't read it yet! Cheers guys.

    Bye bye VW

I'm presuming your 'Supe' was a Supra? My dad had the 3ltr Auto and it was awsome upto 100 mph, it's really over that where the Turbos have the huge advantage. Thanks for the info on overdrive, there's naff all on the net about it..

    Yup. All gone I'm afraid.

Eat this - I've pretty much got buyer for everything.. (see classifieds for any stuff left) What have you got your eye on?

    Bye bye VW

Well I've not actually got the car yet. Will be another 3 weeks - I asked for a few asthetics, the tracking and the timing belt and service to be done as part of the deal. Performace wise, I've driven a few.. considering there are only 4 speeds on the autobox, the kickdown is smooth yet you really feel every one of those 300 ponies as you accelerate. I'm yet to drive one in the faster mode yet though.. I've got zero experience with automatics, but I believe the overdrive adjusts the ratios of the gearbox for improved acceleration at the flick of a switch (someone correct me if I'm wrong) hen

    Bye bye VW

The car has been going to the same garage since it was imported in 97'. So I managed to get a full report from the guy who's been looking after it after I checked out the invoices for work on the car and did my research. I'll be honest guys.. the VR6 was never reliable, so if the ZX has problems it will be nothing new for me. Automatic appeals to me at the moment, I put a lot of miles AND work into the golf and now I just want something that's easier to drive and run, but still has the performance to match. At the end of the day, a 300bhp Sports Car is going to run hot, you just have to check

    Bye bye VW

aye.. automatic with OVERDRIVE.. In terms of costs.. I've done my research, and to be fair, some things are cheaper than VR6 parts. It had a new engine 20,000 miles ago too.. I found a good mechanic/enthusiast locally so it's all good.

    Bye bye VW

Well the time has come to say goodbye to VWs for a while.. here's what I'm defecting to: She's a 3ltr 24v Twin Turbo Nissan 300zx. 300bhp as Standard, with a Nice Subtle Body Kit in Pearl White and Leather/Alacantra Interior. And before you say it.. YES.. I'll be back. As soon as R32s become better value, I'll be back around I'm sure. Everyone that is buying the modifications from my VR6 have made an excellent aquisition and I'll pop in from time to time to see how you are getting on with them. Don't forget - The Schrick Manifold is still for sale, and my STANDARD VR6 will be too once it's
  12. Awesome do a Neuspeed Pulley kit. It includes a lighter pulley for EACH of your ancillaries. Not cheap, but you'll find a BIG difference in responce and a big drop in Transmission losses = larger wheel BHP [ Edited Tue Nov 16 2004, 04:24PM ]
  13. My mate had a WRX same as Antera's, He'd got some kind of special ECU fitted to it too. He spent another couple of grand on it after that too. I decided on the charger, but didn't tell anyone.. waited the standard 500 miles to run the charger in then challenged him to a race. He laughed at me thinking he was racing a standard VR and his face was a picture once I'd blown him out of the water! He's just bought a new shape STi on a 52 plate I think and it's so much prettier than his old one. The lag is awful though, and considering it is the 280bhp version, I was disappointed with it when I drov
  14. I don't see what difference the design of the charger makes to the other parts you use? Surely, all chargers have to be mounted and connected in the same way?
  15. I second this statement. At least you got a reply to your e-mail..
  16. 1 - The VF-engineering charger is a Vortech V1 2 - Pete, I'm pretty sure you just need a different V belt (longer one) to accomodate air-con.
  17. I have one. It gives you a quick way of setting the fuel pressure to a required level. You could do with one if you are going down the forced induction route. If not, don't bother.
  18. My mate has an RS turbo that has maximum torque at just 2,500rpm. It's definately possible. If you doubt that Stealth's figures are inaccurate I dare you to try and find somewhere better..
  19. I did that when I fitted my coilovers and put the top mounts on the wrong way round!!!

  21. I think you are all looking into ambient temperatures far too seriously.. other than probably the first two, the others were pretty much in the same boat anyway. Just be happy your car could go on the rollers.. I've spent a fortune and mine didn't get anywhere near em!!
  22. Stalling, bad fuelling, hesitancy and generally very lumpy running.
  23. You'll find that you lose whatever gain your 264 cams were giving you over the standard ones now I'm afraid. It may even be worse off than on original cams, but I'm not sure on that.. I'm no expert. You'll need to be on the lookout for a set of Schrick 248sc cams mate. Rare as f00k second hand..
  24. Just to update everyone, after a series of f00k-ups on MY PART I managed to get hold of Binliner's MAF. It's OBD2 alright!!! There goes my rolling road day.. PM Sent Slim Anybody got an OBD1 MAF lying around??
