  1. Whatdya mean Jules? Having the same problem? The long feeder pipe was working, but as soon as it started leaking all manner of cack and water was getting into it.. I'm suprised it's not done more damage..
  2. WEll I drove to work and it's back to square one.. I need to find a way of keeping the MAF well away from the re-cirulated air from the charger that will require no adjusting, looking after ect ect..
  3. indeed it is.. I shortened it now anyway.. Moved the MAF sensor closer to the charger.. so we'll see. Only OBD1's have this problem because of the 3 pin air flow sensor..
  4. I whipped plenty of scoobies.. Evo drivers are much more difficult to bait into action for some reason.. I do keep trying though.
  5. Trouble is.. somewhere along the line the same thing'll happen again.. I might get some pipe fabricated for it instead..
  6. Right then.. The charger's K&N filter was fitted on the end of a 1.5 foot long pipe, so that the air flow meter wasn't receiving any 'air return' and getting all confused. Unfortunately, the pipe has started leaking, and now when it rains, water is getting sucked in.. I'm concerned that too much pooe is gonna get chucked into the throttle body from behind the filter (where the leak is) I'd like to get rid of the pipe all together, however I need to somehow Bypass the Air Flow meter.. Would it be viable to put the air flow meter in a pipe that feeds into the filter rather than feeding F
  7. Check make sure your fans are working, if they aren't then chances are the water is beginning to boil hence the bubbling gurgles.. Get it sorted quickly, or cooling system components will begin to go pop one by one.
  8. I thought Samco supplied new clips as part of the kit?
  9. I can't remember what it's like driving a standard VR anymore anyway..
  10. Don't knock em til you've tried em.. which I don't think the MAJORITY of you have..
  11. The 106 GTi was actually (not sure if it still is) Jeremy Clarkson's 3rd favourite car of all time. Another FACT. They must do something right.. But another FACT is.. I chopped my 106 to buy a VR because of one thing.. BIG POWER! By christmas I'll have 300bhp hopefully.. you'll never see ANY Production Peugeot with that kind of power ever!
  12. Sorry guys.. I had a 106 GTi and upto 100mph it performed pretty much the same as my VR6 when it was standard. FACT.
  13. I'm going to get pounded for this.. but the answer to that question is yes. Looking back.. I should have gone the 1.8T route..
  14. I got greenstuffs and ATE power discs. Do the job nicely.. again shite when cold.
  15. Sounds like you have about as much luck as I do Jules..
  16. My Thermo blew and I was too late realising.. hence I have now had to replace my ENTIRE water cooling system because everything got too hot and burst.. You gotta REALLY be on top of things all of the time.

    Which one?

OBD2 engines carry an improved fuel management system and a four pin (someone correct me if I'm wrong) air meter that seems to be able to handle modifications much better than the OBD1 system. I've looked high and low for the complete OBD2 management but one on it's own was like rocking horse cack.. OBD2 engines come along reasonably frequently. Just have to keep your eyes open.
  18. I'd agree with that idea.. looks like the six speed will be my final mod. Am I not allowed to give advice on Superchargers these days Olly?
  19. It's either your thermostat or your fan switch for the radiator.. I've had both go so I know. The fans usually only kick in just before the boiling point..
  20. I ground my rear lips away.. still rub! lol
