  1. You can get VF chargers for the 4mo but a VR one won't fit... I have a friend running a stage 2 making just over 300bhp
  2. You still don't say how wide your wheels are or what offset but on the info supplied looks to me like 205/40/17 or 195/40/17 tyres would help solve the problem... 215s are too wide (unless they're 9J rims)
  3. I've never experienced that but then again I've never really had rusty discs at a show either
  4. Exactly... coating the brakes with something?! can't see what the problem with just using the brakes a bit to clean it off? As for shows... when you wash your car at a show you probably don't even get the brakes wet
  5. Looking good (even if you say so yourself ) where did you relocate the indicators?
  6. VR arches are no different. Possible solutions would be either getting the arches rolled (and maybe pulled a bit if necessary) or getting slightly narrower tyres to tuck under the arches better (I got rid of rubbing by changing from 205/40/17 to 195/40/17) As you haven't mentioned what size or offset wheels, what size tyres, what suspension etc it's hard to offer better advice
  7. Phat Dubs Monthly Meet takes place on the last Sunday of every month at a pub just outside Colchester in Essex... All VAG cars welcome WHEN > Last Sunday of every month from 1.30pm WHERE > The White Hart Pub, Copford, nr Colchester Essex CO3 8LT DIRECTIONS > click here for map MORE INFO > click here PHOTOS > click here
  8. Hayward & Scott did the cat and centre section on my supercharged syncro, they had the car for 3 days and cost about £400... The result was an extra 30bhp, a transformation in the car and a noise to die for... Couldn't recommend them highly enough
  9. The sensor is a little grey one in the lower front bumper grill, airbox side
  10. Phat Dubs Monthly meet this Sunday... WHEN > Sunday 25th May (last Sunday of every month) from 1.30pm WHERE > The White Hart Pub, Copford, nr Colchester Essex CO3 8LT MAP > click here FORUM > click here PICTURES > click here
  11. just the pillars, sunvisors werent black
  12. those power figures aren't unbelievable from a rotrex charger
  13. they're the same as the black plastic ones... you use a little plastic tool to pull them off
  14. Do you use it daily through the winter? In my experience polished alloys don't last 3-4 days on salted roads without needing a good polish to bring them up again. On the roads I travel to work I'd have to wash them daily!
  15. lol and yours the other... I just don't like the standard finish
  16. out of all of those pics I only saw 2 decent sets though
  17. Some wheels just suit some cars... RMs on a mk2, ZW1s on a mk3 etc etc I don't think that is affected by how many cars have those wheels. If you want an easy bolt on wheel that suits the mk3 TT comps aren't a bad choice... if you want to stand out from the crowd they're not
  18. Option 3... but then I think Reebok Classics suit Chavs
  19. I've jetwashed all my VR6s... I used to do the syncro monthly and never had any running problems... did you cover anything up first?
  20. sounds like an extreme way of doing it! The right hand cover is held in by 2 spline bolts, I'd try and tap a larger sized torx bit in first and undo them that way The front one is held on by 2 screws which are underneath it and just slides off (might need a tap)
