    My VR6

how on earth did you get 43.4mpg? Did you reset it whilst cruising on the motorway or something?
  3. normally I hate gold bolts but in combination with the mulberry centres they look really good
  4. it sounds like it is... bolt the adaptor tp the hub then the wheels to the adaptor
  5. Its the auxillary water pump... I'd put one back on personally
  6. Good work on the DIY conversion... how did you work out the 1/4 mile times? Theory is one thing but in reality I'd have thought traction is going to be the big factor
  7. I think Danish might be more useful on that site... it's what they tend to speak in Denmark 8-|
  8. Don't think it's a mistake.. it's way overpriced but wouldn't exactly call it chavved out either! It's not my cup of tea in it's current guise but has been winning trophies in various guises on the VW show scene for years
  9. Cheers for the tip Justin Whens the next Phat Dubs meet then ?? Phat Dubs is the last Sunday of every month (theres a sticky in the southern events section with the details) VR6s always welcome I might join the Colchester convoy to this meet as well if Im free
  10. Not in Chelmsford but the Halfway House on the A127 is about 2 mins from J29 of the M25... Its a big pub that hosts a lot of car meets (we used to hold Junction 29 meets there many moons ago) or you can always come along to the Phat Dubs meet in Colchester
  11. Porsche wheels are 5x130 PCD - VR6 is 5x100 so adaptors will be needed but wheels like D90s preferably in 16x8 size will fit nicely with 25mm adaptors and 195/45/16 tyres
  12. If you want to get rid of the gay purple hoses you can buy still buy them form SFS (who originally supplied Z engineering) but they're not cheap
  13. If you can't make the meet this Sunday, it's on at the same time and place, last Sunday of every month
  14. If the wiring is anything like the In pro ones with built in indicator then you don't have to wire the indicator up. The headlights plug in like normal and there's seperate wires for the indicator... that said it's an easy enough job
  15. You need to provide more info i.e. what wheels, width, offset and tyre size and what suspension set up you have
  16. can't remember if Ive posted on here or not...
  17. no... iirc it's the carrier that's offset differently that makes the spacer necessary (can't remember exactly because Tom did mine!)
  18. I used to have one of the small ones and it fitted pretty well but originally I had a larger one and it kept falling forward.
  19. Did you try VW? They were about £15 each iirc (not that you need them now)
  20. You can get the plastic under panels to fit the early deep splitter as well... I didn't notice any front end grip improvements when I fitted them to mine! In fact I forgot they were there until one came loose and flew out the back on the motorway Quite fancy one of those full trays though to keep all the crap out of the bay... do they bolt to exisitng points?
