hiya guys, a good (yet lazy) friend of mine has a VR with a busted alternator, she wants to know would any mk3 alertnator work or is it a vr6 specific? i'm assuming the latter but have been wrong (many times) before

could one of your guys with vagcom have a quick look and see what the VR6's Protocol is in the comm status box.... thanks in advance!

in the lower half of the rev range it shows around 13:1 in the higher half around 12:1

Hi guys, i had my VR on the rollers a few weeks back, and have jus sat and looked thru the graphs properly, one has power and high speed air:fuel ratio so i was wondering, what the Air:fuel for the VR should be i did a quick search and nothing came up, so if you guys could enlighten me it'd be much appreciated! measurements of x air:1 fuel please

fair enough, i guess i'll be waiting for a remap, i'm at an RR place on saturday (half price day ftw) so i suppose i'll keep an eye out for cams..... where are the best places to pick them up that r cheaper than piper?

ahhh so the guy that selling me saying it jus plugs in is a plumb? hummmmmm and the ecu's arent mappable are they, this is no fun, ideally i just want it set up to get the most out the mods i have!

hmm, i found some discs that are both asthetically pleasing and friendly to my pocket, but they only do em in 280 and 288

but what size! can i fitt 280's? or do i need new carriers etc?

what size are the rear discs on the obd2 vr6? they appear to be smaller than the fronts, is that right?

thanks for the replies guys, how much is a new syncro mesh? i know a man that'll fit it, just need an idea of price, so i can sort it in time for Trax and maybe an RR day
