Thats what I was after, I think the thing to do now is ring them and get on the phone to the insurance companys, Hope it works out to the same price as insuring the VR but ive got a feeling it wont Long story tbf mate. I would say use VW even tho its alot more, Anythink that can go wrong resulting in killing your engine and lots of money id use the best i could get, VW Personaly id only use euro car parts, GSF for bits that wont damage anythink else if they go wrong, Alternators, Power stearing pumps, Stearing racks, Wishbones, Bumpers, ect ect Ie not headbolts, chains guides, oil pumps water pumps ect, Its up to you realy but id rather spend abit more cash
  4. Start from your N/S/R, Then your O/S/R, then N/S/F and finish off with the O/S/F. Theres a little bleed nipple on the back of the callipers which is to be undone using a spanner think its 9mm on VR, You want to add some pipe onto the nipple, get somone in your drivers seat to work your pedal. Keep brake fluid toped up Open the bleed nipple and tell the driver to go down on the brake pedal, Once they have gone down tell them to say down and shout what they have just done "DOWN" They need to keep there foot down on the brake pedal while you tighten the nipple back up Once youve tighted it bac
  5. Normal N/A with out itb is about 230bhp fully tuned, guessing with itb, BV port polish head 3l pistions ect i recon 250- 260bhp maybe,

  7. Nah would be somthink i can get cheep, probaly a 1.4, missed one on ebay today for £150, no rust good pannles windscrean ect just non runner. I would have to pay way more for another VR Realy pissed me off cus along with other stuff mine needs a new windscrean, £250, i could have got a hole car for that
  8. Yeah sorry I do trash mine, 14s in the redline most of the time and 17s been a tad more carfull. If i try i have got it to about 20 round town ect. All depends how you drive it but if you brought a VR im guessing your not going to spend your time at 4000 rpm....
  9. Yeah if its grinding then I would say your flywheel is nacked tbf, If you dont belive them ask to see it once its been replaced and you should see that the teeth are all nackerd or as above its become detacted

  11. As above, What do the insurance companys say if you want to reshell your car. Do they treat it like your doing an engine convertion on a 1.8 or 1.4 and charge you silly prices Or do they just leave you as you are and charge the price you where paying before??
  12. Change of plan as normal, Now im going to reshell it and show prep and respray my old shell, Then swap it back over once my black shell is finished MISSION. Just need a VR back quite time, Im missing it alot

  14. lol, Its more like putting your balls in a grinder but you don't know this till you started! lol I was planning on a 16v mk2 Turbo engine in mine but a month after I finished it it got writen off, Fully gutted and lairyness, Then i brought my self a VR and saved all the hassle lol
  15. Ive hurd its even better, Longer lasting and still fits sound, Fully gutted after you've just done the job tho.

Ive done this before, Total mission, What did you do about the drive shafts, I put VR cv joints on but the drive shafts where to long and when you went round the corners it pushed the engine over!!! Make sure yours isnt doing this, I had to get mine shorted in the end but you possible could use VR ones

There was 2 cars but the other one wasn't worthy of been in the pic lol, Car was full of people and tents and still didn't rub lol, Dog was totaly random, donno where it came from.   18. I would say it be very hard to spin your wheels with a LSD without a turbo ect, I want one for mine before its turboed, deffo worth it

  20. Alright geeza, Umm et is 38 i think and there 8" wide on the inside where the bands of the trye sit, 8.5" from outside to outside. My tyres dont rub but I did have to grind the lip down on the rear archs and then I rolled the lip over anyway, Front wheels rub on the chassie leg alittle bit on fully lock but dont damage them, On the rear the arch sticks out about 15mm wider than the wheel and the fronts are pritty much flush, Im putting 10mm spacers on the front and 13mm spacers on the rear and hopfully it still wont rub, Et 17 is abit hectic tho but you might be sound with 16, Hope t
