The VR6 turbo cars above probaly cost around 10k all in including the car. Kevs and Markie been the more exspencive. easy worth your money imo Your not going to get anythink with 1600bhp for 35k. Try 250k lol Vws are exspenive but you get what you pay for.

Your right and if subframes can be used then use them. But with mk4 seats theres no other way! Also as you say there are alot of crap dangours welded seats out there. Im currenty having to sort somones seats out that they did a realy bad job on! Totaly unsafe. Im sure you would be happy with my work tho. Its fully painted and looks factory. Nothink added to the car itself and you can't see any of the work! I wouldn't want to put somones life in danger lol Sorry didnt want to sound like nobhead but i wouldn't do it if it wasnt safe

Nice seats. There not out of a VW tho are they???? there aftermarket?
-
As long as your a good welder and you use correct bracing you be fine!!!!! The work I did was as stong if not stonger than the orinal seats. The sliders are welded on in the first place by VW (at the rear)!!!!!!!!!!!! and are only atached buy 3mm mild steel with about 1cm of weld on two sides Mine are on think box section welded all round, 4 sides, (about 7cm of weld) And the main slider down the middel is seem welded 13" each side defo stonger than in the first place. You can't get sub frames for mk4 seats. this is the only way to do it, Your right you can get subframes for aftermaket sea

Ive fitted a MK4 seats into a Mk3 and into a polo. Front are a total mission but worth it in the end. As said above you have to weld the sliders from the mk3 seats Please make sure when you do this that the seatbelt mounting (a little cam shape) still runs inside the seat slider as this is where it need to be mounted, If you feel the slider it has loads of ridges on it. In a crash the little cam locks into the chassie on the slider. You need to mod the seatbelt mounting to get it to sit proply inside the slider other wise it wont slide. I have seen people just chop the cam off which leaves

Im telling you he only got a car lenght infront of me before he desided he had to hit the brakes whereas I knowing the road very well and been a much faster/ better driver than him contuited and braked at the last second thus leaving me far far infront of him. The bit of road isnt that long and after the island i was too far infront. plus it was a rolling start The kid in the Nova couldn't drive he was a total pussy!!! . Big body kit' date=' painted gold with box archs (apently a show car but i thought i looked rubbish) I do like novas just not naff body kits and your brothers nova sounds li

If is the shield facing the floor its there for protection weld it back on or just remove it,

I would get the leon. You alread have a VW and apart from the R32 I would want to modfy it. Standard VWs need work before they look good apart from the R32s, mk5 gti, and MK1 golf

was that £200 all in? that is a good price!!

I had a race againts a 270bhp turbo nova. Out of a 4 wheel drive calibra He had 3 passageners and a massive silly bodykit. I only had 2 passagener. He only got away from me by about a car length on the strate but I out braked him before and island and ended up about 250 meters infront of him had the island and I was gone!!!. He was shit round the islands bends ect. Also waited for him in contry lanes then lost him in about 2 corners LOL Nowhere to be seen. Before the race he was laffin and taking the piss as you would. 270bhp nova againt a heavy standard (apart from surpension, wheels brakes

Front Wheel Bearings
Phat VR6 replied to Stoo the worm's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Remove center cap from the wheel. Undo 32mm bolt that holds the drive shaft in Slack wheel nuts Jack up remove wheel Undo 3 13mm bolts on ball joint Undo 17mm nut on track rod end (Hit stub axal end with BIG hammer) you can get a ball joint spliter for this but boths ways are fine ABS wire Brake cailper, Leave hose conected ect just surport with cable tie Then mark possition of the strut in comparasion to stub axal so you know mess up your camber (used tipx or spray paint to draw round shocker half) Slack 18mm bolts and remove Be carfull not to damage CV gater, ball joint rubber brake ho -

heater blows hot then reduces to cold
Phat VR6 replied to jims13's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Nor me mate lol. Mine used to get upto temp after seconds, compared with my 1.4 mk3, Most big engine cars do heat up quickly. Overheating alot easyer to diganos atleast your not doing any damage but it is realy confusing and problay killing your fuel. Only thing i can think of is blocked heater matrixs and duff temp sender. If you pop the bonnit do the hoses feel as hot as they should be???? -
OBD2 comes with about 190-200bhp where as the OBD1 only has 175bhp OBD2 timing chain and guides last alot longer whereas OBD1 need changing ruffly after about 80,000 If your going turbo OBD2s are more suited and with C2 software can surport 400bhp ODB2 have bigger brakes 288mm instead of 280mm More advance ECU including more indeapth error reading If you can get an OBD2 they are better imo!!
