    lol Well ive changed everythink.. All the calipers and most of the brake lines but the master cylinder was perfix before.. It hasn't gone vague. Just doesn't work full stop, as in full brake aplyed and you can still spin the wheel by hand. Can master cylinders go like this? Thanks for the reply

    Non, nothink, fuak all brake pressure despite bleeding. Pedal goes strate to floor and has no action on the brakes. Anyone got any ideas as this realy confusing me... Can't think how to fix it Cheers Tom

    You can fit the mk4 pump which has metal impellers instead of plactic for about the same price

    Do u think I should run 1degree neg on the front of my mk3? Just had the front apart so needs doing anyway

    core plug would be un usable from the old engine... Only 90p from VW

    2 things you can do fella. 1st jack the car up, Put some jump cables on the battery from reaching under. Then use your fob to unlock (only works if its a flat battery) 2nd get a 1m rule with a hole in the end. Tie some stiff wire onto the end (not string has to be stiff wire) Loop the wire though the hole. Hold the top of the door open, Holding the rule with one hand and the wire with the other. Push the rule down inside the window with the wire loop dragging inside the window untill it goes over the door pull pin. Pull wire tight. pull rule and open door

    Yep 2nd hand box. its only 5th that can be changed that way. For first gear gearbox has to come out the car. Have you got a link on 5th gear change

    So it runs well without it conected? And when it conected it generaly runs ruff and wont hit the redline?

    Take it off mate. If you leave it on this can damage your master cylinder

    Wouldn't say the above tread sounds like the same problem but i don't live with the car... How did you get on disconecting the maf

    follow the tube coming from the airbox to the inlet manifold.. Its the sencer/ plug just after the airbox. U will know what i mean when you see it

    VAG.com it mate, That will check all your sencers ect. Also a blocked exhaust could cause the same kind of problem from a build up of back presure Few things you can do that only take a few minutes Is it well serviced? Have a little mooch at your air filter make sure its not blocked up Also unplug your MAF... And go for alittle drive Failing that get it on VAG.com as its the easyest way to see if you got a cam senser down ect

    about ah hour tops to work out whats going on and to get it out. I thougth it might have been twist fit or some little clips i couldnt find but it isn't

    I found it very fiddly and asked the same qweston but didn't get an anser. Just don't get pissed off with it and take your time and it will come out What i did was remove the little rubber mounting blocks one at a time, 3 in total and it will come out alot easyer than leaving them in Hope this helps

    Id stick a 2nd hand box in if i could find one in a scrap yard or ebay... Hopfully that would sort if for £200 plus fitting Wouldn't dream of spending £1700 on a box. If you don't want to put a 2nd hand box in it then defo strip and break the car and buy another VR with your £1700.. should buy your self a real nice one and probaly see around £700-800 from scraping the auto One more option and the one id probaly take is to put a manual box in there 2nd hand obvs.. Wont be a strate swap tho. flywheel, clutch cable, gearlinkage would need to be changed aswell. Is there any reason you own a

    lol... ive just been getting all lairy at the price of fuel when i found out every other contry in the EU pays 25p per litter tax compared to us paying 50p..WTF is with that. How can they get away with it and why do they need to take so much in the first place.. Im still fucking my car up over pot holes and im sure i never see any of that tax money ive given them.. Apart from bastard speed bumps with nacker my car even more. Is there nothink we can do about it? And is it legal to drive over to france fill my car with 150 gallens in containers and then come back over hear?
