  1. Is that the front ones? Steath told me not to fit them and they fail all the time. Ive only got the rear ones fitted...
  2. donno but anythink that says it gives 15% more bhp from a set of leads I wouldn't trust?
  3. Nice motor... You keepin the VR? Feel free to put some photos up of it regarless its a VR fourm room lol
  4. cheers mate Will have a look Craig - might need to take some off the front ones maybe ?? Or space out the rears more to match the front :-d Looks alot better than before...Altho id have them polished and get it slammed
  5. Unlucky mate. My mate had his wishbone collaps from rust when moving slow. As you say lucky it didn't happen when sputtin it
  6. £150s not bad.. Know afew people round hear that want it done so could neary get my money back. Wonder if they would sell just the wheel lol
  7. I donno but the proper ones cost £260 :S Im going to make one soon for my wheel spacers. Got a old brake disc for the hub and a spare jack. Best thing i can find for the wheel is off a skate board but its abit to small and hard I think..... Anyone got any good ideas of somthink to use for the wheel???
  8. Does number 4 still work? Could be the resister under the N/S dash
  9. If ones down on compression then it looks like its going to be piston ring. No 6 is ment to be bad for that anyway. As u said oil down the bore should show that up
  10. my 97 obd2 also has twin chains and coil pack. Think it would be two much work to put a obd1 engine init
  11. lol... theres loads of them about
  12. Yeah I think the point is that the mk5 R32 is def quicker 0-60 and in general.. The reason it was so close is because the mk5 owner wasn't using all his power to its full potential. By the sounds of it the mk5 R32 is the best 6 pot they have made so far What makes it so much qwicker round the track? Light weight or that new rear axal?
  13. Yeah good website but not realy telling me what I wanna know. "hmmm less mpg and its not really any cheaper than petrol?" That might just be because petrol is so cheep in the USA. The saving over hear might be alot better. If kev uses it he can tell us what in specific needs to be changed on a VR to make it useable. Also how much he pays for it over hear!
  14. Whats E85 kev? Ive never hurd of it. Can u tell me abit more about it please! Is it cheeper to run? Performace. What needs to be done to the car to use it. Thanks
  15. All depends how much the mk5 owner booted it off the line. Also alot of the old boys don't like to hit the redline and tend to be alittle nicer to the engine Think there quite abit heavyer aswell
  16. lol. Don't think theres anythink else round number 1 that could make that kind of noise
  17. You've ansered your own qwestion mate Change the while clip as your going to have to anyway. Its obvs that the pedal isn't acting on the master cylinder as you say that clips broken and the rod sticking out. You can get them from VW
  18. <<<<<<<< 215/40/17s. On a 8j rim. Tyres under the arch by about 10-15mm no rubbing. It all depends what ET u got (think mines ET 38)
  19. Looks nice. I realy liked it on the audi rims tho. I think its just because it sat so low on them
  20. Is true but if that center bolt is loose there will be play in it
  21. Mine are crushed in. Think im going to weld some tubing down each sill so i can just jack up from anywhere. Wont be able to use the VW jack then tho. My tyre fitters are realy good tbf. they jack off that little chassie rail about 1 foot in
  22. The trans gearbox one is filled with brown oil. Realy easy to change. , Remove the 15mm bolt that goes though the middel of the mount. Then jack up the gearbox, Remove the 3 13mm bolts that holds the braket onto the gearbox (this will just lift off giving you more space). Then theres 2 13mms that hold the mount into the cup, Lift out and replace then just bolt it all back together again The other side ive never done but try doing it the same way.. good luck
