  12. mmmm nice cars.... all though im a bit worried about the fact you find pleasure in wearing heals
  13. i suppose there are' date=' give the dull owners of mk3's an excuse to enter into conversation with other humans "scuse me mate, your car appears to be on fire" "nah its a mk3 mate, its suppose to do that" [/quote'] lol its happened to me all the time on the front with my old small 4 stud brakes, but that because us mk3 owners drive so hard Come on dude tell us whats upset you, has a VR pissed all over you and you've had panels peeling off your poorly made honda or saxo trying to keep up? Its not worth it mate writing off your car every time you want to go for a play... So what do you
  14. yes there is a bolt under there that holds the wing onto the sill
  15. Ive just welded stainless to mild steel with a mild steel mig welder? I didn't think i could do that but it worked neat and strong, couldn't break a tac weld with a big hammer even after cutting though it with a hack saw Im confused?
  16. i saw a black on and harassed it down a duel carriage way, he looked a little confused and embarrassed yet chuffed i was loving his new car.. look evil from the front in real life, much better than the pictures
  17. i know where your coming from. Few weeks back while dreaming of turbo charging and putting 4 wheel on my golf i i thought wtf, it be much easier to buy a road rally car like a evo scooby, and to be honest it would probably suit my driving style better Where i stand is look wise the golf, build wise the golf, style wise the golf, reliably the golf, brand wise the golf but i get the feeling performance wise the evo... saying that im still going to go though with my plans and hopfully make a VR faster in a state line than an evo and hopefully not to shabby in the corners, certainly faster ro
  18. lol, his got even more time waste than i have Did you use a wind back tool when you had the calipers off? You say the pots moved out ok but did they return about 1mm after you released the brake? Sounds like seized calipers to me! mk4 ones are a good upgrade
  19. Most lightly isn't the release bearing, these tend to just colaps and then you have no clutch atall you might be able to buy release bearing separate and if you can do that and use the 100 mile old clutch (can't you just get the 100 mile old release bearing at the same time?) Only use a clutch than you know to be good, ie seen driving and not slipping, the 100 mile one should be fine the one in your garage all thought it might look to have loads of tread left on the friction side ive had the spring fingers fail on a pressure plate before causing it to look ok but not apply full pressure, I
  20. course i didn't vote saxo , just wanted to see the reaction
