fair play dude, Get another space saver for the back lol. Dlea are you a mechanic aswell? Will be interesting to see the results -
Ah right I see lol, I new about the spark as the pistons coming up so as the bang is ignited its compressed and makes a bigger bang and all that shizzel, and about the vac advance but just didn't know that it went as far as 29 btdc. Right next questions :-d Does it even matter if its pulling lots of timing? Run an engine lean and it melts pistons ect... What happens to your engine if your getting lots of advance? Is it really bad for it? Or is it a case that as long as your knock sencers can keep up your ok but if there falling behind then you will loose power and start damaging things

i voted saxo... Brilliant cars just prefer the look of the VR

ive got them... There not that bad atall but are very stiff and bumpy.. I drive HARD and my car handles with them but if your after a smooth ride then there not for you Racelands are £150 and half the price of supersports and probably lack in quality even if there a little softer,

people that run superchargers run stage 1 6 psi on stock engines some even more without any problems so im my eyes this means that 6psi and 260bhp on a standard VR6 engine is tried and tested and known to be safe I can't see why 260bhp 6 psi coming from a turbo is any different, A few people have run this set up but most are after more than 260bhp and tend to build there turbo motors up to stand high power levels so i guess thats why many havn't been seen around The mannis tryed and tested Turbos a top brand make (could get a cheep ebay one and make it even cheeper) That £1100 is with ma

BOV aren't suitable for C2 software dude.. you need to vent back into the inlet for the software to work properly You could just buy these parts Manni turbo Down pipe and exhaust DV waste gate begi rfpr and run at 6-8 psi on a totally standard engine like they do with superchargers.. This is becoming really temping for me as would cost around £1100 for all brand new parts would see around 260-280 bhp and you can always upgrade later (cheaper than a charger ) Just an idea if like me you haven't got a money tree

i admit to all of the above Also another sign is when you spend WAY to much time on vw forum rooms like myself (I REALLY NEED A JOB, any going anywhere lol)

I haven't driven in Brmingham for years but I'd agree with you that a large percentage of bad driving is caused by uninsured and non licenced drivers as they feel they have very little to lose apart from a £150 fine and points on a licence they don't have *-) . I know someone that lost his non exsistant driving license and been banned even tho he can't drive about 7 times now... Doesn't drive when his in a ban as he would get sent to jail but as soon as his ban is over he buys another car/ bike or what ever and drives until he gets caught again.... been going on for years now.. Problem

To add to this there's a few sustain areas of Birmingham that are full of people that blantly have never seen a driving test yet alone a lesson and there standard of driving it very poor... I keep my eyes open as i know if i where to have a crash a big % of the drives wont have insurance

New suspension advice
Phat VR6 replied to Ben Seabrook's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
koni v3 are my dream coilovers but there somwhere around the £1000 mark At the moment im using supersports which are ruff but does go round corners well on a nice bit of road Ben personally from what you've said i think the weitec in your first post would be perfix Not tempted by 60mm drop? Thats around the perfix height for handling -
yep you'll find black demands a higher price lol only messing.. Just weight for a black one to come along? Shouldn't take to long and will save some time I like carbon bonnets and think black bonnet fogs splitter and tinted headlight would look evil

did you change your maf? Or at least unplug your old one? Make sure its the right way round How old are your spark plugs? Change them if there old.. If you disconnect one lead at a time while its running can you hear a difference... If you pull a lead and engine noise doesn't change then thats where your porblem is... In which case try swapping said lead to see if there an improvment Altho leads are new you could be unlucky enuff to have a faulty one plus some people pull the lead it selft when removing them which can cause damage

10- 12 psi should be fine on 9:1.. Not saying you couldn't push it more but personally im going to fit 8.5:1 a ill probaly end up turning it up as much as i can lol Hears an interesting thread thats worth a read which helps you work out how much boost you can safly run using VAG.com The lower the compression the less lightly knock will occur and timing getting pulled ect http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3607415
-
9:1 for lower boost and drives stronger before turbo kicks in 8.5:1 for higher boost.. abit weaker off boast so again depends what your aiming for.. Run 9:1 unless your planning on running high boost but it doesnt really matter
-
lovely exhaust.. Is it stainless?? Jim recon it would be easy to make that with V band out of mild with a mig and then buy a 3" back box.. Would save a fair few pennys and would be just as good

LOL i dunno then...Your talking about other vws? 1.4s ect? Never been able to see away to get them to clip on... nor have i had to unclip any of the old ones, Put new one on as old came off ect theres a fair few out there ive done uncliped that are still going strong after a few years so i must be a lucky fucker lol Next time if you dont mind when i come across it ill get some pics so u can show me whats going on
