  1. Ok dude, cheers, will take a bottle of jack just to be safe. You never know! So we are able to eat crap for three days, and beer is pretty cheap, sounds good.
  2. We are obviously V'gins to the nurburg, and not exactly experienced camper's, so we got no commodities, for some reason i assumed we would all be eating german sausages all weekend. If any tools required give us a shout, piston wind back tool? We will prob bring plenty of scran, an assortment of tools, two man tent, and beer an jack. We got plenty of room in the back for luggage if anybody is struggling.
  3. Bleed is on the slave cylinder on the box, heavy clutch is usually a sign of a worn cover plate on the clutch, or a dodgy cylinder, master or slave. Both cylinders are done with the box in situ.
  4. A flexi magnet for the spanner, and dum dum for the lamp seals.
  5. interior monitoring sensors been moved or bonnet switch rusted up? Nice Raddo' btw, may be popping that cherry very soon.
  6. Basic settings? Sounds like the motor doesn't know where it's stop points are. Send the window all the way up, then hold the switch in the up position for a couple of seconds, there should be a confimation click, this may also have to be done at the reg's base stop too. Not sure if this will work, but it's worth a try.
  7. Dont touch the airbag contacts with your finger.. ever.
  8. I've just reported one. Thanks for the info.
  9. How would you get the charger to cut off when the turbo kicks in? The management would be a feat in itself, and surely it would need a custom built charger? I'd be intrigued to know if this application is possible also.
  10. Engine cold, take your expansion tank cap off, there is a drain plug on the pipe between the pump and the thermostat will be tight and will probably need a new seal.. You could use a coolant flush if you wanted but personally i wouldn't bother, especially if my main aim was to increase coolant strength. 3 bottles of G12 will be fine for the weather in this country. Put your coolant in first, system holds 10 litres. To bleed, fans on full speed, heat, screen. I fill the coolant bottle to the rim, stick the cap on wait for it to drop, then keep topping up. I have a giant perpet for sucking out exc
  11. I only know a guy in the north west. Does a proper job though, can even straighten out bent rims.
  12. Have you VAG com'd the car? If the front end is spotless, rear axle bushes are common for a wander. Also though, faulty wheel sensors can cause the ABS to lock a brake on, but it's normally quite noticable, i'm just wondering wether it could be slight, hence causing a slight pull. Cracked ABS ring?
  13. I'm not sure on the exact set up, but i've stripped many a seat and the older fabric covers are held in place with really annoying ring crimps, which my wife says don't come separately, but the cables do (ex TPS employee) . The rings would be a screw fix sort of jobbie, i've definately had a box of them at some point, and some special pliers for refitting them too. The seat backrest comes away from the base, just remove the trims and the big bolts are behind that. Should be pretty straight forward once it's apart. Good luck
  14. I also am sorry to hear of your friend. I hope they recover fully. James, i apologise, but i did aim my post at you for the 60 in a 30 statement, nothing else, everything else was just a general rant in black and white. The rest of my post was sourced around 10 years of being an accident repair mechanic. You learn pretty quickly what damage occurs at what speed. I started this job when i was 16, so my driving was reserved from the off. If the whole world saw what the traffic police have to see on a daily basis, we would all drive safer. Anyhow, i do believe we are ever so slightly off the top
  15. A debate it is, and i'l have my say next please Madam speaker Doing 60 in a 30 is a complete disregard for anybody else. What if you were to get a blow out on this 30 road, at 60, hit the kerb, roll it...at say 50mph, it will take you about 1 second to cover the 20 meters to the houses, and you end up in someones front garden. The entire accident over inside 5 seconds. What qualifications do you have that suggest you could react? They are called accidents beause we don't intend them to happen, and we are unable to predict them. Most happen faster than we are able to react. " It will never hap
  16. They can sell everything except the engine.
  17. A Corrado VR6 '94, with 18,352 miles, garaged overnight from new, one owner, serviced by my dealership for it's entire life. I couldn't buy it, it's against the law once it's been registered as scrap, believe me i tried. Sorry if the pic doesn't work. The icing on the cake is "what i could have bought it for"...... £1500 Heads up, i spoke in depth to the scrap fella who turned up, when i asked if it would be cubed, he said not a chance, they'll break it. Skemsdale if any one is interested. As you can imagine the car was mint.
  18. Just to add, most cars will pull slightly to the left due to the drainage camber on most roads. Try driving down the middle of the road or on the wrong side and see if it still "pulls" left. Also, try swapping the front wheels over, just don't ask me why if it works.
  19. 360 for me. The game is immense. The story line is a corker and you can easily immerse yourself in the characters, and that third mission is a belter. Online is same old same old for me, i aint quick enough to be any good against the hermits, so i rarely get above 10 kills. Special Ops is the cherry for me.
  20. What are the shocks like? Top mounts? You said it was bouncing around?
  21. I went to an Audi tuning specialists yesterday evening, which was just a wet dream, RS4's 6's S8's yum. Today put my car on the rollers, and watched one of said 6's push out 516hp. Tonight, the legends that are John Kelly and Stu Allen are playing at my friends night in humble Chester. Safe to say, weather aside, it's been a minter!!
  22. I would say all VR6's have heated mirrors. I have a 94' OBD1 and a 97' OBD2 non highline, and they both have them, and work. If they not working, check if they're connected, or have incorrect glass, or a cheap stick on glass.
  23. Put you ear to a screw driver and prod about, if the noise is that promenant you will be able to pick it out. Middle of the head as in under the inlet manifold?
  24. I put up a post not long ago, i've had a recent quote, you'll be looking at 5-700 quid depending how far your going.
