  3. dual mass is for girls.. real men do it with single mass. but i get your point jake, although i cant see the validity of it, surely just feed in the power via the fancy ecu you have ?
  4. tbh, a soft spring or lose lid would account for it ..as it wouldn't make boost like it should, if it was sealed.
  5. they shouldn't do i ran my 263's without a map to start with.. id say a small wee air leak , but otherwise if your confident its all timed up correct etc.. then check all the basics.. most poor running on 12v vr6's are air leaks or breaks in wiring .. i spouse its a age related thing .. you put a replacement part on a disturb something along the line

  11. yes bud from me.. not all failing maf show up on vagcom, some do , some dont .. if it runs better with it unplugged its normally a good place to start .. check all the wiring for breaks and scan the car for other fault codes .. it may save you some money

  13. should have said in the pm ,that was for a 90 amp unit , assuming you had aircon .. my supplier can no longer get the 70amp units. its possible the 90 amp ones have superseded the old ones, connections may be different sue to diff makes, i.e , valeo, bosch , lucas ..

  17. Well I pay 700 tptf for my vr6 caddy van , all mods declared with business use . That's with 0 no claims and running as a seperat policy to my camper. So conversions don't hqbe to count against you . But age does, its a sad.world , but they do charge.more if u are young and ain't female, or smell of piss and twiglets .
  18. ok small update, new slave cylinder fitted and i have CLUTCH .. woop woop . ive got a power steering leak to fix, and top mount to do and sort out the fuel gauge , then its all good .. the van is deffo pokier with tthe maf connected , as its not running of the tps.
  19. never going to grow up but i did have the car i always wanted, my old vr6 turbo... god i still miss it .
  20. ok, maf wiring sorted today, now runs with maf and isv plugged in, clutch slave cylinder to do , and some mk3 vr6 clocks and indicator stalks with the mfa switch to source. it did run at the pod , but the time wasn't representative of the performance of the van as i ran it without a maf, and no clutch to speak off, just me matching the revs to the gears .. still got a 16.1, so have a base figure to beat . pics to follow shortly
