  1. go into individual controllers selection, engine, and then try reading it. top left button , and top left again .
  2. ta.. i do like it alot.. its a complete , sleeper weapon .
  3. dont do anyting jap , just vw, audi , skoda and seat im afraid. yeah it does polish up nicely , just want to swap the wheels and ill be happy.. there antera's so no doubt very pricey when new.. just not my cup of tea.
  4. id say it needs looking at , what blows off the y pipe ? .. if u want a good map , come see me your only down the road .
  5. it should have around 330 bhp and a unknown amount of trq .. goes like stink though .. and yes santa pod is on the cards , once i sort my job out ..
  6. im selling lots of things just to keep this one best of both worlds, stonking performance and 5 doors
  7. picked this up the other day.. got a few bits to sort, but its very tidy car. oh yes it has x2 turbos, full miltek exhaust and dual 710 n's .. its soon to be sporting a new ecu map , as the other one was pap . H and R coilovers , and H and R antiroll bars . and the 18" alloys, which im hoping to swap for something a bit more my taste
  8. planning to, and yes , not sure yet if im coming in the camper or vr6 turbo.. camper means i dont have to take my tent etc.
  9. i have fitted a 12v one on a vr turbo i builtfor a freind . not the greatest thing in the world, but was functional . took a bit of custom pipework , but it all worked. no idea on power / trq as the car was never rolling roaded.
  10. fpr depends on ecu mapper, united motorsport use the stock 3 bar , as will the old c2 stuff.. stealth i believe map what you have in. what issues are you having
  11. tonys never runs long enough for him to use it
  12. tony mines running again, get your sorted , so me you an craig can go have a track day
  13. thats fine, picks speak a thousand words , and with a pick and a good description of the fault , those of us that had turbo's can probaly tell you what it i s.
  14. i was under the belief the pumps are the same flow wise, bar any physical differences. mattvr6 - grab a set of 440's they will see you fine unless you want mega power, alternatively 630's
  15. thing is kev i can offer most of that, bar the intercooler and pipes ( for that very reason you said ) , its also having the cash flow to bulk buy said items and to hold them until they have sold . i've now brought back my old vr6 turbo , and tbh its as i left it , needing turbo seals, that car has seen maybe 6 track days , 1 top speed event with at least 12 runs flat out in 5th, numerous santa pod events , plus normal driving . its now on 197000 on the orig engine, and as a car its still reliable. ( thanks UM ) and the only thing thats ever gone wrong is the gearbox , 3 times infact , but
  16. I should have also said, that no ecu tuner can offer support if yoivdo not have a working obd port. It really is a must do. And will save you time and money , when diagnosing anything on the car.
  17. i agree kev, the reason most people will not do it in the uk is simply, a lot of people talk about it but few actually want to purchase a kit . the fact you can buy off the shelf parts also doesn't help when trying to make a complete kit, as people have nearly always been collecting bits as and when they come up . they then say , oh can i use this instead of that , blah blah blah
  18. i suggest you wire up the port, not hard to do , and will be worth your while . you can place it were ever you please , keep it in the engine bay if you want . did you buy it running / sold as running. get a fpr guage for the fpr , but as has been said it should be 3 bar on a obd2 golf .
  19. its all about money v power/trq . as has been said time and time again , for the price of a shrick + remap + odds and sods ( as you always need something extra ) its more cost effective to buy a secondhand charger and map that . or has been said fit a 24v lump / ecu combo .
  20. If you give the correct ecu number , and country of use , then there is no reason for it not to be plug n play . the biggest single factor i have found so far of a car no firing first turn is incorrect fitment of parts . That said ecu tuners do make mistakes , and it can happen that on occasions you have the wrong file loaded . the good ones will rectify this straight away . manifolds etc ... well lets just say most people don't want to as kev says pay for a complete kit (well decent ones ). i do sell manifolds @ around £200 , software from £300 etc . As tbh its the best way and allows peopl
  21. im sorry a shrick will not give u another 20 bhp.. you are better off spending you money on a charger conversion, either turbo or super .
  22. i can do a tensioner will replaceable bearings for 63 delivered . only thing you'll ever need to buy is a bearing , which at most is 8-9 quid .
