  1. send a email to info@jpautomotive.co.uk rear stuff is 256, and includes good pads, discs and calipers , acrriers etc.. everthing you need. you will only need to get two brake lines made up .
  2. the obvious route would be to remove the carbon canister , thus freeing up space .. however if you dont want to do this you will find it tight , but not impossible .
  3. i knew that kev my point was / is , as you have said on a otherstandard car it isnt worth it. most people will not pay for a properly engineered item , they simply look at the cost and think i can do that for say 500 pounds less.. its the time that goes into developing that you end up paying for . quite often the manufacturing cost is secondary to the develpment time.
  4. no he hasnt given up... just not updated his thread .. its now running .. other issue will be sorted shortly

  12. nah , clutch and chains should be around 500 i do the chains for just under 200, clutch is 100 , rest is labour.. its a good 4 hours to do it ..
  13. martin , [please ring me, it isnt worth breaking it.. tbh , if all youve had so far is a dislodge fuel pump seal , and a a loose tensioner bolt, well then that is minor . to be able to bolt on a extra 100hp , and have nothign go wrong first turn of the key is good . tappetts aint mega money , and just becuase they are noisey ,it doesnt stop it being used . chain noise , well lets see what it is .. you would have noticed , broken parts when u had it apart .. seriously give me a ring and we will see what we can sort
  14. so whats not running right ? ring me or pm , me everything is solveable

  18. sorry i just dont see how its worth it on a N/A car. the do shift the trq point , and yes the do flow better higher up , but for a money v trq/power gain , imho it isnt worth it . at the point you have done cams, filter, exhaust and 6 branch on a vr6 , had a remap done , i think you are at a point were the only sensible option is forced induction . i made good power on my old vr6 turbo , and yes it did drop trq over the last 1000 revs, but nothing that i noticed and nothing that warrented a 600/800 pounds outlay .. i tend to weigh performance items up in trq/power v money spent gains . with
  19. due to the refined diagnostic ability and emissions stuff, the obd2 may produce more power, but each engine is diff , so this isnt always true .
  20. you do not need mesh with a 4" maf. i ran a 4" maf for around 2 years and never had any problem .. as long as your software is good, and your hardware problem free you will be fine
