  1. I know, that's all I see on ebay is ones breaking 😔
  2. Im very sure it's the attached picture but when I had it the centre of the rims was painted hold and I put a pinstripe around the car. Not been here in 14 years lol Struggling to work out where I can find all my old posts as it might give me more chance in finding this car. Ive actually had 6 vr6's and modified them all... But this mulberry one has proper sentimental value to me. Any help I'd be very grateful 👍
  3. Because I already have the MK4 interior fitted and the runners working - would this mean 99% of the work is already do for me as the MK4's and the A3's are meant to be the same arnt they?
  4. Hi guys, Looking at selling the MK4 recaro interior out of my VR as mine is a 3dr and the interior barry had in was for a 5dr. Anyway - been looking at buying some S3 interior. Have seen them in a few mk3's previously but are they a direct fit or is there any fabricating involoved?? Cheers Paul
  5. Just a thought Neil, Have you checked if your top mounts are ok (open the bonnet, look where the suspension legs attached to the buckhead and see if they are raised??) If they are up that WILL BE YOUR PROBLEM Lol Top mounts are a very common problem with VR's, people upgrade the suspension but forget to upgrade the mounts - this make the car hard and makes a knock sound as if the springs are broke. Its an easy change though only £20-£50 depending on the quality or what you buy. If I was you i'd just get your bumper fixed not change it - plastic weld, filler and smooth and done. Its an easy j
  6. Cheers Ben but I'm after one already done as I cant go without a car :-(
  7. Who's is this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3644/3340260485_a44c9ab01d.jpg
  8. Lucky boy - add £5k and you could have it 500bhp
  9. Koni and H&R do good springs for the VR, Strong but not loud - if yours are shagged them you might wanna get some (usually around £80-£120 for the set) Alot of people have the boot working off a solanoid switch from inside the car. Weld a plate across the VW badge area and the plate recess and paint over it.
  10. Hi guys, Well after looking through here for the last few days its Pi**ing me off not having my own VR again lol I've had LOADS of them and each time I spend a fortune individualizing them - But I’ve never had a VR Cabriolet - YET!! I've always fancied one but never really found the right one. I was looking at buying the silver one that was on here that had a Red roof and big porcha wheels etc But I ended up buying an E46 Coupe 2.5 in silver and red leather and spent a sh*tload on that too :-( Thing is everyone loves my new car now as it looks different and classy. Its RWD and as fast as th
  11. No £125 is about right :-)
  12. Very common on MK3's - the axle bushes always go. Cost around £50 per corner to change as the labour is what you'll be mostly paying for (Pain in the bum to do).
  13. Hi Neil and welcome, your rims are probably worth £100-£150 depending how good the tyres are. I really think you should get your suspension checked first to see it any dampers or springs are broken. If they are all good then check the arches and see it there is signs of rubbing. The VR is best run on 16" alloys for the best drive. People have put 18's but the ride is two hard and its all for looks with some. If I was u my first point of call would be bodywork. Get the car touched up and mopped. Trust me, the mulberry highline is one of the best looking cars around ONLY when the paint is mint
  14. Hi Stu, The carbon route is good, but cheap carbon never fits perfect and it’s a case of 'you pay is what you get'. You don’t seem like the type that goes cheap so hopefully you wont be disappointed with the result. Saying that, if the car was only a track car then who cares about looks carbon everything and save that weight (but its not just a track car). One thing I’ve found out about the VR is, most of the body roll comes from the roof being so heavy. All highlines have sunroofs and the steel around them is very strong BUT HEAVY. The reason the M3 CSL carbon’d the roof was because e
  15. Hi Stu, with a syncro I wouldnt recommend getting the wrong stud pattern. An adaptor kit will be: a) heavy the wrong offset c) not as safe If I had a charged VR then i'd 100% have the right wheels for the car. My old 16" BBS was very wide etc the car had over 210bhp and I certainly knew the limits to the safety of the wheels. I know waiting until you see the right wheels pop up might pee u off but It'll be the best thing you've ever done. I have seen this car before you had it and by the sounds of it your doing all the right things it needed - So top man nice work!! Maybe some S3/TT brakes a
