Have read the thread you started off RCF, very informative for noobs to chargers who want to no more, good work As i plod through fitting it all next weekend i will add in any bits and pieces that may cause other people troubles, ill also try and get some pics taken too so people can see how too over come the probs they might encounter. .hopefully this will make the whole process abit easier and smoother for every1 attempting to fit themselves.

Im not 100% m8y, im think it would run crap if you ran it without a maff on standard injectors. .from what i understand its best to use the maff but place it upsteam of the charger (between air filter and charger), thats the idea anyway because if you fit it downstream (between charger and throttle) the maff reads the hot air blowing straight out of the charger and causes it to have distorted readings, which may cause overfuelling or evan the maf to fail all together.

  5. No, after a convo with vince im not going to, he sed its best to run the charger in on the originals but keep it steady and dont go over 4k when driving and all will be good until the remap

Thanks 4 the quick reply guys, i just wanted to make sure i was ok to drive it to stealth without causing any damage. .but thats put my mind at rest, any ideas what they may charge me, i no most pay around £350 for the map but will i get charged alot extra for him to put the injectors in for me?
  8. 1) After reading up on those who have fitted it themselves it doesnt seem to bad, what i need to know is can i just do it on my drive or will i need to get it up in the air to fit anything? 2)most of you have sed to fit the kit but leave the injectors out and it will be ok to drive to stealth nice and slow, just want a confirmation on this realy the kit will get fitted but wont get driven until it goes to stealth. Any wisdom you s/c boys/girls have to share on this would be very helpfull, thank you for any responses in advance

  10. What filters do fit on with the s/c then? if the bmc doesnt fit then it will be up for sale end of march
  11. As above realy, ive finally given in and gone for a stage2 vf s/c kit and ive only just bought the bmc so need to know if it will fit with it.

  14. Im leaning more towards s/c to honest, ive read loads of post about s/c and the vf engineering does seem to be the favorite on hear so i think that would be the one i would go for, just need a price and the best place to get it from realy.

Im hungry for more power but cant decide on what route to go. . .shcrick cams and mani or s/c. . are there any uk suppliers of the vf engineering s/c kits or do the have to come from the states. If they do have to come from the states could someone give me a rough price of what they paid for the kit by the time it got to them please, any help would be most appreciated guys
