the fact is i dont want pigs spying on me becuase i choose to download redhat via bitorrent or rpms via torrent rather than cvs. you dont have to use p2p for unlicenced software :/
  2. yep, you should find out where the clutch was done, i had my clutch replaced twice on the mk2 for free, becuase the recon'd clutch was crap and still under warranty. take it to your cherished garage and get it done.

just went to the swg website (LOLOL) becuase i heard they did wipers, only for the mk2, but they got this (they are selling the vw cover lol, urgh) so i *think* thats the punto wiper. i saw a few puntos today and they have the jets on the roof, spraying down.
  4. funny last year at this time we had a group buy of BMC's too , i got mine near new years if i remember correctly.
  5. serious amount of work to fit, it'd be a TIGHHHHT squeeze in our engine bay.

If you know what this is, then please make sure you download peer guardian from sourceforce, its self explanatory. many people are being busted for downloading.
  8. remember, its gonna be a cold winter, make sure you got a decent mix.
  9. most definately the best time to 1/4's but the pod will probably close its raceway at the first sign of frost and rain...i dont know when they have another race what u brung day.

thats sweet power for a n/a motor, maybe it has cams or something, becuase 209 would put it near the top end of n/a, pete has a few mods to his n/a, you should compare power with his, since he *is* i think going for max n/a power.

lol, anyways, back on topic, i phoned up the fiat breakers in southwark to find they have plenty of wipers and will let me try before i buy, if they fit good, i'll buy a few and sell them on, they only cost a 10 bucks so its not a big'un. The only thing i need to check is that they have holes for the washer jet, becuase if not, then there isn't any point.
  12. get the BMC, get the cold air intake, 10 degrees to your air intake can reduce your power a fair bit. cars on the R&R will start off at 280 and then after a few runs be at 260, just becuase of the heat soak... these engines get super duper hot, i can't stress how important it is to get that cold air in there, the heat soak is real m8, high intake temps increase cylinder temps, leading to detotation, high oil tempertures and additional heat in the engine bay, since this winter is going to be hella cold, i would expect vr6's with CAI's to make good runs on the R&R , -4 expected tommorow
  13. vr6s dont eat plugs or leads any more than any other v6 in a small bay.
  14. there is one thing that you can do that you can enjoy that costs nothing, it may cost you your sight or hair (but its not proven heh)

while i was in milton keynes i didnt mind a monday morning wash, usually took a couple of hours. in london, zero time for washing, instead it goes to the valeter, who usually scratches the paintwork.

the sarcasm just didnt come out in my post sorry , i was hinting at how much time it must take to keep your car clean.

in a vr, i think the only thing that would detect the optimax is maybe the o2 sensor...since optimax is more combustible, less fuel should be required for a cylinder burn, so the injectors are told to cycle less...i dont bother with optimax, i think tesco 98 ron is fine lol.

no parking sensors, just the rear view camera, it stops chavs racing up my arse when i have people in the car who dont like 'speed', since you can yourself on it when tailing me (if i have it on lol). ive been looking for a punto mk2 to look at, but i cant see any parked anywhere near my house, i guess i'll have to go to a dealer. !amazed how do you find time to do anything else?
  20. vr6's can be expensive to maintain, tuned (charged) vr6's are even worse .
  21. does the light turn on when you switch it on at the switch?
  22. 1. make sure your not traffic light grand prixing. 2. ensure you dont slip the clutch when changing gears 3. clutch couldve been done on the cheap, there are companies that use refurbished clutched, which only last about a year, clutchdirect is one of them....my mk2 had clutch problems twice....and on the third time i had an OE clutch put in. refurbed clutches can cost 140 to fit a decent company should charge at least 200-400 for a proper clutch + fitment.
  23. oil light indicates poor oil pressure, either you got no oil (likely) your oil pump is playing up or your oil pressure switch (black sensor switch at top of oil filter housing, 1 of 3 sensors i believe, check all 3 are plugged in properly). check for oil as jay says though.
