  2. should be okay, get someone to reset the transponder. since the key is 'dumb' it should be okay just to get it on vagcom. phone stealth racing, they can help you.

    rear style

nah dubloke, i'm saying the mk4 wiper doesnt fit lol, and in both my posts ive said why (same as you ). less beer for u m8 heh. i understand its lookings better, but surely if its covered in crap (which in the winter it does) it doesnt look 'cleaner' lol, are you renegaded to cleaning it by hand?

    rear style

the mk4 doesnt fit becuase the spindle (the bit the wiper turns on) is higher than the spindle for the mk3, so the mk4 aero wiper sits too low, fine if you want it to wipe your paint work

    rear style

This is a quick thread about the rear end of the mk3. I've recently bought a mk4 rear aero wiper to find it doesnt fit (taste and see ). After looking around a bit there are only a few options to my knowledge that are available for our rear window *style*. 1. stock 2. de 'wiper' - no idea what this involves but i can asume it involves a body shop and filler. 3. punto mk2 rear wiper - after doing a bit of a search for these i've disovered that they look quite good on our cars. 4... ? - thats all lol. the problem with the mk3 is that the wiper spindle sits below the window line so you need a don

    Your 1st car?

    1st car was a 1989 mk2 golf 1.6 gti 'lookalike' age 19, insurance 1300 fully comp.
  7. skyline r24 rb26dett gtr vspec 2 or skyline r25 gtr
  8. yes they have two style lamdba's, that one is the one that preheats itself i think, hence four wires. the older one doesnt pre-heat and is only 2 or 3 wires. i remember vince telling me that for my air fuel ratio meter. oh just to make sure its the lamdba, you could stick it on vagcmo and see if it has a fault code for persistant lamba.
  9. mkdean's cat replacement sounds good, a lot noisier than standard though (i,e stock exhaust).
  10. lamda is usually not the problem for overun, it doesnt really do very much on the overrun, i've been told its more for partial load, and isnt used at all over 70% throttle when the system goes open loop. eat this, thats what i initially thought, but a rebuilt head should have the steam seals replaced ? wierd, where did you get the head work done?
  11. it wont work on your mac unless you use virtualpc. its x86 compatible.
  12. i wouldnt be to bothered on overrun, is it okay under acceleration? its probably unburnt fuel, just check if your mixture is a bit rich, might be an idea to stick it on rollers and get a wideband in it and check. if you had it re-mapped when you had the head work done, its a good idea on a high mileage car, since a clean head releases decent power. reason why i'd not worry too much is becuase its bound to be rich for a bit after load, my narrow band shows a rich and then lean condition when i back off, but then ive had mine mapped. have it checked out at some point if it gets worse. i
  13. i have a on/off squeak from the sunroof area. i just hit it real hard and it stops (or gets broken lol)
  14. im popping over to eurocarparts to see how much they cost and if its possible to get them from there, what about rear wiper?
  15. they are motioning to put you away for life if you kill someone while on the mobile.
  16. i would free rev (in neutral) and check to see if its the charger whining. if so, check the oil feeds and clean the oil line intake nozzle, they get clogged over time and your bearings maybe calling to you for help. i think you're gear box is the 6speed close ratio, i wouldnt be surprised if the diff pins are bolted...dont you have a quaiffe too, i think so? i dont remember hearing any bearing whine when i heard it at santapod, and i was right next to the bugger. so i'd seriously check it out. i wouldnt f**ck around with it, i'd get it to stealth asap, most of us dont have experience with tune
  17. faster your car looks, slower you have to drive, most cops dont bother with mercs and jags, its always the fords, vauxhalls that get pulled, its becoming quite a stereotype.
  18. it was in the times on tuesday i think, that had an article about the driving test being at its HARDEST! i think they said only 33% of candidates pass as opposed to 66% in 1960.
  19. tbh, vince at stealth loaded up somone elses map on my dastek and it worked fine, throughout the rev range, if your trying to squeeze everything out of your car, then you have to get a finely tuned custom map. you will notice poor timing/fueling before you damage anything, unless its really bad hehe. i had poor timing on mine for a few weeks and the knock sensors did alot of work for me. but i wouldnt risk it, get a custom remap, its the best way. oh and most importantly, (i havnt read that ebay page very well, forgive me if im missing this, its 1am!) when you buy a chip for your car you HA
  20. you say your running an intake? is that a custo manifold or an induction kit. i understand the 24v's have a flap equivialant to the shrick flap too (totally irrelavent). i would check there isnt a crack in your inlet piping. since pre throttle pressure is quite useful and is lost if you've got holes in your intake piping. on a N/A car its good to have a bit of pressure on the throttle body (pre throttle).
