  3. Swweeeettt! A mate of mine works in a Ferrari Garage, he took me out the other week in a F430. Fook me it was unbeleivable! got it to 192mph (on a private road of course) It felt so stable, it was amazing and sounded excellent!...obviously not a match for our beloved VR'S though
  4. Guys, I don't know how many of you read Piston Heads website. But they have a shed of the week section-a car which is £1000 or less, and guess what it is this week! http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=23&t=357170 Yep, you've guessed it, a VR! Some very interesting comments are being made. Have a look! Adam ps sorry i dont know how to set a link to the site, other than copy and paste the info above!
  5. Mechanically, i'd say 148k miles isn't an issue. My Highline has got 150k on it and pulls just as well as my mates who VR has 90k on it. They will go on over 200k if well looked after! Body wise, get some quotes in about the door and rest-mine needed some work doing to it when i bought mine but well worth the money spent.
  6. Definately go with the lights. Ive got a pair of smoked crystal clear on my black highline and it sets it off a treat. Definately updates the look of the beast! :-d

  8. Just updated mine! Any southern monkeys like me around?
  9. I live in Bath, but ive seen a couple of places on the web and it seems that you send the wheels to them via courier, and you have to get the tyres removed first? Looks like a bit of a pain in the rear. :S Otherwise anywhere in the Bristol or south west area. Any thoughts? *-)
  10. Guys, Got the VR back from a garage and found that they've scuffed the offside wheels badly on a high curb. They have refused to say that they have done it so it leaves me to foot the bill for a refurb! :@ I need to know if anyone can recommend a good refurb place around. I have 17" polished A4 rims. Cheers Adam
  11. Hey Ingham Yep, me thinks it the only way forward as ive just contact VW and they want £414 . The only concern is if I get a 2nd hand one it could be just as bad as the one i've got. Anyone got any ideas of good quality 2nd hand axles for sale?
  12. Guys, Took my VR6 to Pro Tyre in Bristol to have the VR6 adjusted since i scuffed my rim (Tw@ i know! :-( ) and also some fool scuffed the rear wheel arch a couple of months back and nudged the tyre (and they didn't leave their details-surprised?)and its not been sitting the same since eg a slight crabbing feeling when moving. The guys at Pro Tyre sorted the front but the rear was way out, he said it's properly due to the knock the rear got. He couldn't sort it as the rear isn't adjustable. He had the same thing on his Mk4 Golf and said the only solution was to buy a new axle! As its going to
  13. Hi Claire Ill definately be going and be happy to help out so put my name on the list! Adam

    Mpg

The best ive had is 38mpg on the motorway, worst is about 21mpg. Ive also had 270 miles out of a tank before-that was on a motorway doing 70mph all the way. But that was a one off! Normally i cant resist the temptation to introduce the pedal to the carpet!
  15. Hey guys, Ive been frantically looking on ebay and on the search engine on the forum here for Audi tt competition wheels. I know its been talked about before but i cant seem to find the thread anywhere! !sad Can anyone tell me where a can get a set of new polished competition rims from? I know theres some on ebay 2nd hand at the mo, but i dont want to be buying some buckled rims! Cheers Adam
