  1. you cant have 4 wheel camber on a vr6 i dont believe, they only have front camber....only way to really know is to replace all 4 tyres with new ones, have them balanced and tracking done...also check your discs for warping by braking hard and if you veer left or right or you get shuddering, you know its that. ive heard of worn tyres doing this, so check it out m8. dont think vr's have 4 wheel camber, only on fronts.
  2. why not sell your stockers and buy a decent smoked set with tuv approval...germans are strict...

yeap, side strips smoothed and filled. any help with rh splits going milky (the metal ring on the outside).
  4. tbh, if your garage if half decent they'll maintain your car, and fix things during service...I've not had a major problem with mine yet, touch wood, but my service this month cost me 768 quid, so its not cheap, but at least you know everythings been checked by a quality garage who knows vw's.

you know for some random reason my front left aluminium piece has started to go milky, polish doesnt work and im scared to rub it too hard as it will scratch the metal work, any ideas? i need the vents at the bottom drivers side for my CAI for the charger, so to keep it symetriacl i'll keep the otherside, im thinking of panting the inpro's highline purple to match the paintwork. too much to do, to little time, plus ive beent told by a few people im wasting my money lol.... do you know anyone who's had the inserts ont he side of the car smoothed? pics?
  6. at least it came with the deep chin spoiler, plasticy interior though, shame on vw. love the metalic paintwork, and your driveway is suspicously wooden heh.
  7. yes, never used it, found it from the gti vr6 library.
  8. yep mine did the same, i dont do it tight anymore, screw losing a few pints through the cap, at least this way i can undo it! check hoses, thermostat housing, water pump (easy to check, check to see if its running straight, if not, check it out), headgaskets usually show up as mayo so youre okay, check for damp patches in passenger compartment...shows signs of matrix leak, rare on mk3's.
  9. yeah that siggy is from fastlane right? fantastic series.

  11. i stand corrected , my experience with NS racing had a bitter taste, but kev and a few others have had better luck. btw, if you visit www.carpi.ch they have some figures for zr's.

yours is also a good 30meters lowered than mine . also did you have the lower grilles on the front bonnet taken away too?
  14. hope it doesnt snow on the 18th, it would really bugger htings up to have to skid our way to stealth hoping not to bang into another vr6, or anything else for that matter.
  15. http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?89201 right under this thread a thread about wheel spacers
  16. raj at ns racing isnt gonna give an honest opinion, since he sells VF kits, stealth is your best bet . If it were a v1 you wree buying i could tell you exactly what to look for, but if you can't get hold of stealth, you can PM binliner, he's got a ZR2 *i think* so will be able to tell you about it....i'd trust owners more than people who sell *other* kits, unless it was stealth lol
  17. only buy a v1 vortech if you know your buying a LOUD supercharger (loud at idle, great at revs), ZR1 is fine if its looked after, 1k is about right depending on mileage, depending on mods, you should expect 250bhp adiitional mods see more power, ask around here plenty vr owners have zr's, they are easy to fit. I'm a self proclaimed expert on all chargers so read my supercharger thread and you'll get the low-down on the 'version's' of z-engineerings chargers. befor eyou buy verify mileage by checking/asking who did the bearings.
  18. wow, looks like you had ag ood day out m8, those pics are awesome.
  19. yeah like you and sixappeal said, check the oil cooler too.
  20. its obvious something is contaminating the water supply, replace the coolant and see what happens, driving your car with sluldge as coolant, isnt a good idea, locate the source of your leakage of oil and seal it up, i would go to another garage and check the headgasket, just for second opinion, your condition is serious m8.....try not to drive her.
  21. yep see if they solve the problem, if they do, get proper centric spacers as i said earlier.
  22. since its so cold, i usually have some condensation on the inside of my oil cap in the morning, so its probably that, but if your worried, go check it out.
  23. yes, carpy vr6BT is amazing.
  24. you are gonna have to decrease the ET, try a 10-15mm spacer, it'll increase the track and hopefully clear the calipers. you can buy non centric spacers from ebay for a tenner lol, just see if they work, if they do then get a decent set as the ebay ones rust fast, happened to my cheap set, you might have arch issues if you use spacers, if its only JUST not clearing, try 5mm or 10mm....
