heh, im having the 'procedure' done in june hopefully with 8psi, vince assures me maf'less is a suitable temp fix. can't wait to get rid of the stall off of full throttle.

i remember a guy changing my tyre at a random garage rev'ving it from cold and it smoked too....eat this is right thought it'll f*** it up good. Need to treat your engine to less than 3000RPM until 70 degrees on the oil temp... i think thats the correct advice, i may be wrong.

what kind of mileage does one do before looking into a rebuild?
-
i don't remember having this on my stock vr, although i had an induction kit, i doubt it'd make that much difference, it would pull cleanly to 135mph (217kmph) and then the last 10mph to 145 (233kmph) would be hit/miss depending on wind, road surface/inclination. unfortunately we cant get up to those speeds on UK motorways, only at the straights on circuits.

Hey this is a general shout out to all ODB1 supercharged vr6 owners. I dunno if you guys are aware, but stealth racing (meta url = cool!) now offers odb1 ecu flashing.... gotta still confirm this with vince - its £350 + vat and should give a smoother idle and stop stalling issues (my main problem...i've even put in a new ISV today!) --- has anyone had the above done (odb1 only, i know odb2 guys have it already) *without a dastek* please let me know how it feels in comparison to your previous dastek setup - or if you have just had it installed (dastekless) has it stalled after coming off WOT?

I heard the maf heats up to some stupidly high temperature to burn off anything thats on it just after engine start, i think anything that isnt corrosive should be ok? although i'd be surprised if it needed cleaning, mine after 80k looked fine..

right, im not going to go into the circumstances pervailing to this email, since they are quite dire, they involve his wife and her well-being. Wether this is a story to appeal to my sympathy or not, i believe the important thing is the last paragraph of robs email to me today, in response to an email sent earlier this month. i ask that anyone requiring a refund follow his advice, ignoring his personal situation may seem a little lifeless, but as a customer i'm sure you're not interested. customers feel free to PM me for further information - don't spam me .

m8 if your doing almost double the speed limit and you've recently passed your test AND your on a dual carriage way AND the speed limit is 30mph, then there would have been signs or the fabled lamp posts at a certain intervals, then he's definately gonna bust you, no doubt he or a stationary laser guy had got you on laser. was it an unmarked police car? i was tailed by a marked car yesterday, following me 3 cars behind all the way round a roundabout....use your mirrors and be aware the cops are after young drivers in golfs, especially when they see a vr6 badge. tbh m8, the best thing you can d

condidering he hasnt visited the forum in weeks we have a numbee of options. 1. a customer meeting with him to dicuss payment/delivery (trying to keep civil when some bloke has our money is hard but its the best way to get results. 2. we can look into filing a group judgment with the current customers, costing us a large amount in fees. 3. pester the local trading authorities 4. send ballifs those of you pm'ing me with a thumbs up for the meet MUST state ifb they have a reciept/invoice/proof of purchase im sure a bank statement with the correct transfer to ut would be valid too

robs line of thought really confuses me, i really can't wait to have a chat with him....i mean most of us visit 3 or 4 forums, i myself visit 4 vw forums and 3 car brand specific forums, between the 3000 odd members here (and considering quite a decent share of those guys will have read threads regarding UT, as our s/c thread was massive...as is this one) i find it REALLY hard to believe that he would do that, i mean its a bit daft, the first sign of robert isaac and about 70% of owners club forums will be informed of this therad, its just not logical tbh. rob m8, i'm sure your trying, but m8

mean that rob is going to get a shafting...word of mouth is very powerful, thats what i mean, customers NEED to be looked after, if they arent they have a right to find retribution.... i agree with the notions being presented in this thread.
