Hello guys, Happy New Year and a belated merry christmas. Just to let you know where/what ive been doing. I left on holiday on the 19th of december to go to andorra skiing, i just got back. oil breather filter will do nothing for performance, it's just to make sure you dont get a pressurized crank case, usually at high rpms the oil vapour will come out and be fed back into the inlet pipe work, which means ur getting oily air in ur engine, a breather is a good idea actualy, on the rollers a bit of oil smoke comes out of the breather, vince at stealth told me this is normal.

well my papa has a screen in his rear view mirror of the xkr, its mirrored when its off and displays gps information in a small portion of it when its on, its semi transparent too... i've run out of cash for use on my car, so im gonna have to wait until i get back from skiing in the new year . need at least 100 quid for the bits and bobs for the gps, software and housing.

i used a bmw 3 series air inlet boot, perfect fit. mine is going to daljit though, sorry.

probably, revs to the 7500 hard limit? i know an odb2 with the soft limit removed will rev happily up to that, although without extra fueling its a bit doggy, hence the custom ecu giac make for all these extras?

ive got a dastek piggy back chip on mine, which means that i retain my original ecu. i believe kev has a odb2 conversion which probably has a custom giac chip on it. the ecu is the black box the eeprom is the silicon chip, i dont understand what u mean m8... get a shrick if u want good low end torque and get a gear box with different ratio's for acelleration, tho ull be limited to 60mph...j/k,.

agreed, but i think chris is pretty good too, i think its best both rob and chris settle their issues using email rather than our forum though, thanks for updating us (the customers!).

you dont feel the power until 3000rpm really, a charger enhances the natural power/torque curve of the car, so you still get that stupidly fun surge of torque near 4000rpm.... for uprated conrods and pistons don budget less than 1500, at least a grand for a good set of rods and pistons, maybe more and the rest for labour as quite a few parts need to be taken off, at the same time i'd have ur chains done and a new clutch put in, change ur diff pins to bolts if ur not going for a gemini or quaiffe box

alun, brilliant ive been trawling thru that site for a few days now thanks.... antera m8, thats screen position is good, but its too low (as you said). quite a lot of motivationi is to use a tmc gps system for traffic avoidance.

i would LOVE to have something like that, but its not possible without alot of dash work and carbon fibre and resin....i just dont have the patience to do that on the mk3, considering i already have a DIN screen that is pretty good and it cost quite a bit whne i bought it 2 years ago! i got my laptop with media center up and running, ive just got to wait for desinator 3 and my gps module to arrive (the latter i havnt even ordered ).

i can vouch for his 'goodness'.... but not having my v2 for christmas really does put a downer on me .
