  1. Hi there all, just had the Audi A3 handle kit welded into my doors they are looking good but my mate who has fitted them says it looks like a pain to get them to work with the mechanism in the door. So any hints and tips or even a quick guide that will speed the connection of this would be great!
  2. Well a few months ago I cracked my sump. When it came to refitting I did not replace the gasket, and it has now started to leak from the join. So I guess I need a new gasket, which is a dealer only part. But do I need new bolts as well, and if so what are they Torqued to? This could also turn out to be a simple guide to add to the Knowledge vault.
  3. venom motorsport managed to get hold of new rings direct from germany for just £4.50 each. I originally purchased them from Awesome GTI but they told me that FK did no replacement rings and my coilovers were now unable to ever be adjusted!!!!!

I have just gone to adjust the hieght of my vr and found that even though i had waxed underneath the rings and kept them reasonably clean the f@?kers have gone and seized so i will have to cut them off my problem comes when trying to get hold of new adjustment rings. if anyone knows of a supplier please let me know cheers. Dom.
  5. While undertaking hard cornering i have recently heard a bleep given off by my vr that comes from behind the dash i thought this might be a low oil warning but theres no low level/pressure light on and the dipstick seems to read normal any ideas??
  6. my camber is within limits but my toe is out on both rear wheels. left being 0 deg 19 mins and right being 0 deg 17 mins. the right was within limits to start with but when the adjustments had been made to the front wheels the rear right toe was put out of limits.

Ive just had a full alignment carried out and my vr is still pulling to the left. the before and after report shows that the toe was out on both nearside wheels. the front wheels are the only ones that can be adjusted. so before i decide that my rear axle is bent what else could be the problem? ive just had the stub axle replaced on that very wheel and that made no difference could it be that axle bush or something else. there also seems slight uneven tyre wear on the wheel too.
  8. hey seademon are those the lower air intakes with fog lights in them on your vr if so where did ya get them from?
  9. no luck lads the dealers basically told be to get lost if i could not prove it was'nt from a stone chip. He was'nt even aware that VW had a policy for 12 years either which is on the vw website. what idiots do they employ these days!!!
  10. i used the black resin that the window fitter kindly donated to me after fitting my window. it worked a treat no need to be bolted on aswell. as for where you could get some maybe halfords. if still no luck ask the window fitters where.
  11. the camber was adjusted on the front but you cant do the rears you can only check them and they didnt mention they were out of line or anything. my mate who knows golfs insideout is now gunna fit my stub axle anyhow he reckons it is bent he said they are quite comon as they have heavy load bearing on a small diameter shaft.
  12. im planing to fill in my indicators and fog lights movin the foglight into the lower air intake ive seen these for sale somewhere ive just forgot where. does anyone know where i know SWG done some to go with their bumper but im sure there are sum that go in the standard one.
  13. i saw a few months back in either the golf or performance vw that somone had removed the orange lenses/bulbs for clearones does anyone know how this was done
  14. ive had inpro angel eyes for at leat 18 months andhad o problems at all infact i would highly recomend them. im now trying to find out the mod for take out the orange lenses to make them lookeven cooler!
  15. anyone got a quick guide or tips for fitting an rear near side axle stub axle stub. im still trying to figure out why my vr has been pulling to the left so much now it looks asthough the stub alxe might be bent as the wheel is sitting funny (tillted in at the top more than the off side rear and wearing the tyre uneve, funny that youd of thought they would of noticed when they checked full camber and allignmemnt 4 months ago. would this cause it to pull to the left.
