    part number is 02A 911 023 HX this fits all vr6 engines as far as i can see.(2.8 and 2.9!) price is £137.21+vat from vw!! the old starter will be needed as it is an exchange/reconditioned item

    it should be in position 12, bottom right of the main bank of relays - above the long line of fuses. it will have "167" on the end of it.

    solitudes are the std highline 6 spokes. vw logo'd caps for them are 6N0 601 171 BXF @ £5.72 each .. most dealers should keep them..

    my own personal opinion, not that it matters - it's your car now - outside - lushious - absolutely lovely inside - waaaaay too bright .. top quality work just wrong colour..... (runs and hides . . . .)

    they are electric????? how so ?? all cc recaros are heated - if you get the wiring loom and switch they can be wired in no probs..the connections are in the fuse box already , just a case of plugging them in.

    hey mate .. the part number for the isv is 034 133 455B at a nasty price of £191.84+vat !!!!! and , yes it is the same as a golf, vento and passat vr6 as long as they are pre 96 model year (later ones didn't have one ).. and you are correct it is is sometimes called an idle control valve. same thing, different name.. apart from the price i hope this is useful..
