  1. he has the arches, but not the skirts i think...i'll check when he's next online.
  2. i know someone after a red early front bumper if 2muchchedder doesn't want it.
  3. well...some highline seats went for £650 a few weeks ago, and a blue colour concept interior went for £1200.
  4. mines down on cylinder 3...prob same prob, but i'm not using hardly any oil.
  5. erm, don't so it! take the front end of the car off to improve access. if its like the golf, make sure you undo the rear bracket (from under the passnger arch) before you try and move the box.
  6. no. why would you want to shorten the gearstick..its too far from the wheel as it is. any time gained by shifting a tad quicker will be lost getting to the stick in the frost place, plus you'll spend a fraction less time holding the wheel. and finally, you can beat the syncormesh as it is, will only get worse when shortened.
  7. good god man...thats hideous. loose them.
  8. you can tell that you've lost a bit of concentration from even one...the sensible thing to do if you do have to have one is to drive slower and leave larger safety margins, also try hard to maintain your focus.
  9. i agree with andy that the biggest prob we have with the golfs is that to get them to handle you have to ruin the ride. mine handles like a pug 306 now, but its soo harsh, and i'm on 205/50/15. hate to think what it'd be like on 17"s. i'm gonna give it a chance to soften up, if it don't (and i don't get pissed off and sell the thing by then) i may go another way...gmax springs on new o.e. shocks with uprated arb's. maybe then it'll give ride and handling.
  10. OMFG..thats fucked up. i hope ian smacked her one (i don't care if she's female) what was he driving?
  11. have you tried to see whther ford sell the t-piece or the entire hose for cheaper prices pete? the galaxy v6 is a vr6 after all.
  12. seems ok down here...shame i dont have a car to drive.
  13. i think madmonkee is the only one on here who has them.
  14. in case anyone really needs to locate where they're leaking coolant from...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7924394527&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT be quick though, only an hour left.they cost no less than £150 new.
  15. you don't say what year passat you got the engine from...the changeover was in mid '95 on golfs, i presume it was the same on passats. the only way to switch to obd2 would be to change all the loom and anciliaries. not worth it when the power difference is negligeable. oh, and highlines don't have ecu's that are any different to any mid '95 on vr6.
  16. my polo MKVI knob and new gaiter fits straight on.
  17. fronts require one fo the side rollers to be filed down so it'll fit in the runner. and a bracket has to be fabricated for the front mount. i've heard that MJ interiors may be able to supply this bracket. you also sit slightly higher with the mkIV seats. rears can be botched straight in, but it won't look right or factory quality. best thing to do i suspect is to have the fabroic and cusion put on a mkIII base.
  18. that reminds me, i still have my spare early style (so nice) o.e. exhaust that i've gotta go and get chromed. silence is golden
  19. not without serious mods, and it ain't worth it. for starters they (02M) weigh considerably more than an 02A (o.e. vr6) 'box. if you want 6 speed get the o.e. box converted.
  20. doesn't bother me...i think BMW X5's can as well.
  21. did you go in ask for an early vr6 splitter and then he asked for the year of your car? if so he will have tried to find the part no on the screen for your year, which is why it didn't show up. if you'd just asked for a splitter for a 1993 vr6 he'd have got the right no. some of these vw parts guys ain't too sharp. anyway, i think the part no's are 1H6 805 908A and 1H6 805 904A
  22. that'd be the 'S' i guess? who cares, its an ugly bus! lol
