  1. yeah, you do get the pogp stick effect over big bumps...but its not a big deal really. as long as your smooth its fine (which is the best way to drive anyway)...i have managed to get it hoping at 130mph round a corner before (most people wouldn't go round that corner at that speed...but i'm practicing for my racing next year and like to push myself!)...was fun!
  2. and if thats okay... tyre pressures (would have to be seriously off one side tho), or camber (a lot of places that do tracking don't check this).

    highline

mine had been debadged when i bought it...first thing i did...get new badges. don't want people thinking its a slow gti!!!
  4. well, i'm willing to come over...but only if there's def gonna be someone who can help me out. its sunday isn't it?
  5. i still have the prob...but i need obd1 leads!!
  6. so the new one fits right? or you were gonna take it back and swap it? either way you could sell the old one to a mkII owner who would have to chop some out the centre to fit it anyway.
  7. okay...you've just bought a performance car...and now you want the biggest rims that will spoil the performance of the car!! (just my opinion...but i think most people on here will understand my viewpoint) as i understand it...(correct me if i'm wrong) 15"s = best for performance, 16"s = best compromise of looks/performance/big brake capability's, 17"s = look good but compromise performance and most will fit without arch mods (if they're no more than 7" wide), 18"s = best looks worst performance and need arch mods, any bigger = forget it unless you want to chop the car to bits.
  8. does the abs actually work? (have you tried driving down a quite road and jumping on the brakes to see if they lock up?) think it's usually a wheels sensor ring thingy (technical name) that needs a clean up.
  9. i think a lot of it is to do with driving style...some people go on about vr6's understeering but i never really noticed it..i like to drive a car 'on its nose' though. one thing worth checking is the condition of you rear swingarm bushes...mine are worn out and i get a nice snap of oversteer mid corner.
  10. a '94 will have a coilpack. think only '92 models had dizzy's, as my '93 is coilpack.
  11. hey mart what wheels are they? audi 9-spoke ones? 18"s or 17"s? genuine or replica's?
  12. shame it looks orange in this pic...its not really, just combination of a bright day and a cheapo camera (which doesn't work anymore!) it's lowered, obviously the bonrath grill and its now got highline wheels.
  13. i live in maidenhead, berks...J8/9 of M4. yeah, there is the dealership...but i ain't payin about £50 for them to plug a computer into my car (i simply can't afford it, but i wouldn't on principle...i'd rather get a friendly person to do it at a meet and buy them a few beers/maccy d's/etc..) main prob is that most people have obd2, and don't have the adapter.
  14. i've got ec=xactly the same prob..been tryin to find out what it is for two months...and i have never had a conclusive answer. am desperatly tryin to get someone to lend me vag-com but no-ones in my area (i'm broke and can't afford to buy it). so far i've been told it could be... coil-pack, fuel pump, leads, cam sensor, and i'm sure theres another one!! i also get a strong fuel smell when i've just filled the car up (although this is recent). does yours sometimes have a good day when it doesn't so it?
  15. i live in maidenhead in berkshire, about 30 miles west of london between slough (shithole) and reading (not as bad as slough, but not great!!). am often about in stoke-on-t as the girlie's at uni there!
