  1. You sure you haven't just seated a lead on a plug badly, its easily done on a VR.
  2. I've had two sets of problems with Autoglass (Portsmouth). They pulled a load of laquer off my Golf wing and A-pillar, and they cocked my Corrado up really badly, they had to fit another screen and replace abot 5 or 6 trim panels that they broke. I despise them. Glass everywhere, sealant everywhere, my interior panels around the screen have still got knife marks in them from where they removed the previous screen. I caught the guy supergluing the rubber outer seal in where it was such a bad fit that it kept popping out.
  3. Here it is, first one on the page. http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/fungames/bloopers.shtml
  4. I've just watched that 5 times! Brilliant. Theres something really hilarious about people laughing when they shouldn't. It reminds me of that famous sound clip where two cricket commentators can't stop laughing. :-)
  5. Very unlikely to be bad petrol. I'd imagine its purely temperature related as its ok when warm. Ideally get someone to run Vag Com on it, you might have a dodgy sensor.
  6. VagCOM required by the sound of it. The K&N isn't going to make much difference, especially low end.
  7. I've got a set of JOM lowering caps on the Rado, there's no settling in period. They're just metal plates after all. Did you only change the top caps or springs as well, because they will settle in a little when new.
  8. Not had this problem but it sounds fairly obvious. You've put narrower than standard tyres on the front (steering wheels) and you're understeering. I wouldn't expect anything else tbh.
  9. I've had both now. Both good cars. Golf for practicality and build quality, it really does fell much better screwed together on the inside. Corrado for driving, all the way, somehow the 2.9 feels much more potent than the 2.8. Handling is much better, must be the lower centre of gravity. Looks are subjective but the Corrado turns heads whereas people just see another Golf., its different and sleek. I miss the practicality of the Golf but love the presence of the Corrado.
  10. I've got Beru plugs in the Rado, soooo cheap and no problem whatsoever. I'd have them again.
  11. There are several independant people down here (South Coast) that are excellent and non expensive. I wouldn't know about Scarborough though! You could ask for a recommendation on here... Independant VW specialists are the way forward if you can't do a job yourself. I generally can't stomach the incompetence that I experience every time I go to the dealers for a part. "Corrado?...how do you spell that sir etc etc...!"
  12. I would never trust a dealer to do that job properly, too many horror stories for my liking... They can't even get a price right it would seem!
  13. Gotta be a spoof, very funny though, why would BEAT OFF be in red and capitals. What did that robot do that was actually innocent? As for Spiderman's Arse! Pearl Necklace, honestly,... pmsl.
