yep, probably a good idea. make sure you specifiy that you want red vw leads, they cost £20 each but are the best. and make sure he doesn't touch them without the special plug removal tool either.
with it being an obd1 you'll need to check the condition of the chains (or more specifically the top blade runner) at about 100k...my top blade runner was almost finished at 115k.
i'm sure one of the cars i use (so my vr6, my mkII, or lorna's polo) do that...can't remember which one but i know i dismissed it immediately as nothing to worry about.
yep, they always break on obd2's (obs1's have just a hose) tip - get one from ford, from the galaxy v6...will cost about £25 there as opposed to about £70 from vw.
that one looks a tad too cheese like (i.e. too many holes). but its a balance...too many holes and its won't be very tough, too few holes and you're starving the engine of air.
yeah, but you still have to bleed teh damn thing properly! you do need to use a vr6 specialist..even if the mechanice is very very good with other cars, even 4 cylinder golfs, the vr6 is quite a different car.
ok amit, it could be one of three.... 056 129 777 (says 4mm next to it) or 056 129 777A (says 7.5x13 next to it) or 431 611 817 (says 9x14 next to it) no idea which is for what car, etka doesn't specifiy. if you can't be sure whihc one it is order all three as they'll be pennies.
£450 is a good price if the lips are in perfect condition. the polished rim part does have a habbit of corroding, in fact they have very similar alloys available for mkIV golfs but they're half an inch wider or narrower (can't remember which one) and the whole wheel is actually painted silver like the cntre part of the mkIII anni ones. i'd go for the mkIV ones just because they won't corrode.
mines mega low...but thats cause i haven't got round to bleeing the clutch properly. may be your prob, is the pedal a little 'slack' at the top of its travel?
