    help

dont bend the bonnet...there must be a way from underneath. it may need lots of leverage to get it open, use a f-off big screwdriver! lol

i dont think so mine grill falls off when i shut the bonnet! lol
  5. i wouldn't go as far to say 'all'' date=' but i'd deffo say 'most' and it can be at any mileage...for example my mums car the h/g went at 55k, i fixed it myself and its still running well. also, when i worked at vauxhall they used to have almost new cars come back for h/g repair all the time. 6. ok, nerih has said the worse case scenario there, but somtimes its not so bad...my head was fine after my h/g went, but it is true that vr6's tend to warp their heads when the h/g goes. get all the tests done first to confirm it is h/g. if you have to drive it to a garage to get the tests done keep a close eye on your temp guage, second it goes upto 100 turn the car off.

    New wheels

they're not bad, but i think you could do better.
  9. well, pretty much anything to do with how the suspension is set up (pick up points, settings, everything)...but what pete means is camber and tracking, yes.
  10. what camber settings have you gone for now?

    Tinted

i'm not really a fan of tinting, but it does prove something i've been telling a mate recently. he has tinted windows on his mkIII golf, but the rest of the car is colour coded and it just doesn't look right, i keep saying he should go for the black arches/skirts/top of bumpers as it'll balance the colour more and i think your car proves it.
  12. mine cost £3k just over 18 months ago, from a decent trader with years warranty...sadly the car didn't start breaking till after that warranty had expired.
  13. i suspect its in case you have a youngish kid in the passenger seat, so you can't trap their head in it. they figure that as a driver you should have one hand on the wheel whilst opporating your window with the other.
  14. its an obd1 so prob was starting to wear the top runner and he did it to be safe. its a good thing that its been done, should have gone a bit longer. as long as the service history is up to date, and proves the mileage i don't think its that bad.
  15. its not horrificly overpriced. prob is its a '92...and mods don't add anything to the price (particularly front bumpers like that)...i'd say £2500 is a fair price. i didn't buy a decent vr6 cause of it having blue seats when i was looking for mine. the seats are easy enough to swap but its the dash thats a PITA to change.
  16. standard or uprated? standard = vw or gsf or ecp uprated - onyl ones available are neuspeed as far as i know, think awesome gti do them.
  17. from what i've experienced the roads down south are much grippier (i'm comparing near london with stoke). it may be because we have a larger volume of cars using the roads they put more money into the surface they use. tarmac is a hugely complicated and scientific thing actually...for example the surface at silverstone has bits of glass in it!
