  1. make your own out of MDF, its not hard and doesn't need to be perfect as you won't see them.
  2. 205/50/15 (and uniroyal rallye540's if you're clever )
  3. i'm pretty sure they are plug and play sanky's.
  4. what you wanna do is lightly spray water over the leads and coilpack at night with the engine running, and look for sparks. before you do this you may wanna cheeck the leads are onto the plugs properly.
  5. never trust a vw dealer to give you accurate info...i'm pretty sure they still do sell them. you can hear my brand new pump working, so i don't think its bad.
  6. i recommend the vw red leads...the quality is a million times better than any other lead i've seen. magnecor's or similar are fatter leads and wo't fit into the lead guides without getting damaged.
  7. not without buying £170ish of new parts. 900 bucks for the obd1 is bloody cheap...if only i had the cash

  9. bad boy bonnet?! i'm gettin worried, whats else you getting, lexus lights and a metal spoiler?
  10. if you're 25bhp down then it does sound like hall sender. were the fault codes cleared, then rechecked again? so many guys don't do this, so how do you know it aint an old fault code?!
  11. camshaft position sensor is the hall sender...you'll deffo know if thats screwed up as the car will a have significantly less bhp and will be really lumpy. i think crankshaft sensor will be the engine speed sensor. you will giet this fault code if the car was tested without the engine on, as it self clears once the engine is running. i'd phone them back to see if the car was tested with the engine on or off. also, were the faults intermittant or constant?
  12. went for £1800 with only 1 bid...anyone from here?
  13. 1. well, synta gold is prob a bit thin for a start, try using synta silver and see if that cures it. 2. pos 1 on the MFA resets after a couple of hours of ignition off. not usre on the stereo.
  14. it'll go for a lot more miles i bet, i mean, the whole engine has been sorted, and chains as well...much better than a 100k example with none of it done. and £1800 is a total steal.
  15. well, firstly how do you know it deffo is the motor? i'd connect a bit of wire off the battery and see if you can get the window to move first.
  16. thought so, yours aren't recaros...they're just normal sports seats.
  17. .,..who thinks this is a good buy? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4505881762&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
  18. got any pics showing the backrest? as they really don't look like recaros to me. they do have a habot of wearing there from fat people getting in and out! i'm quite lucky that my recaros came from a LHD car and for some reason theres less wear than usual.
  19. cool...take it to santa pod and see what the 1/4 miles time is?! lol
  20. cool...take it to santa pod and see what the 1/4 miles time is?! lol
  21. i don't get what you mean by biting causing a thump? sorry
  22. yep, he should take that offer
  23. yep...been there, done that! lol i think every one does, but thats better than flying straight off into the gravel and rolling. what i do is start at a fairly leasurely braking point and then work it down gradually till i run wide from braking too late. on a fford car the brakles are cold first lap anyway, and the way i found to know there hot enough is when the fumes are intoxicating you its just right! lol
