    cheers for the compliments guys acf8181...How much lower do you want me to go it already 40mm at the front and 50mm at the rear Olly....i spoke to six appeal about running 205s but he did'nt recommend them....have thought about 205s but there's still a slim chance the wheels will rub hence going for arch work to start with

    Just fitted my new wheels....couple of problems though...the driver rear rubbs when i go over a bump ~ .....so i think i'm going to have to have them rolled.....any idea's how much and where i can have this done,have spoke to the guys at style dynamics...they can do it for £40squid but they told me there is always a chance of paint cracking so on...i know alot of you guys and girls are running 17s and some of you have had arch work done so your opinions will be greatly appreciated ................ps sorry six for copying your wheels to start with and thanks for the info regarding them

    What dealership did you take yours too...mine has rust under the door sills but chelmsford vw would not repair it under warranty..the car had full vag history and 69000miles and was under five yrs old with no crash damage ~ ...they quoted £200 per side +vat &|

    lots of dealerships use magnatic as standard, vr's run 10-40..........my vr has always run on it no problems [ Edited Tue Jun 01 2004, 12:13PM ] As for fuel super unleaded is a higher octaine so the theory would be the car will perform better.......i use optimax as i think my car appears to run better but others dont like it and use bp super unleaded so on....at the end of the day there all much of a muchness [ Edited Tue Jun 01 2004, 12:21PM ]

    Looking in demon tweeks they have rks@170 each without tyres....they tend to be abit inflated though, i would think somthing in the region of 150ish each at a guess though bbs are v expensive in general...did look at them my self on ebay [ Edited Tue Jun 01 2004, 01:40AM ]

    Thats looks to me like the air temp sensor...tells you how hot it is outside!.....................not sure about the abs though [ Edited Mon May 31 2004, 10:31PM ]

    Not sure if this applies to the vr's but on the mk2 gti you have a lift pump in the tank and a fuel pump under the boot.....ive had the lift pump go on mine before....it will starve the main pump giving the impression it is failing....the in tank pump is a lot cheaper to replace...just a thought
