  1. Alright chaps. I've had a BMC induction kit fitted by stealth recently. I'm driving back and its making way too much noise. I get home, look under the bonnet and there's no cold air flow pipe (not sure what its called). As it happens Stealth didnt fit it %-6 They've posted it to me. I've tried fitting the bloody thing and now realise why they couldnt be bothered.... theres no way to get the pipe on and through the gap (the pipe seems too big). I know my descriptive writing is a bit poor... but anyone have any clues?!!

ICY make me an offer on the seats?!!
  3. I work in a place called High Wycombe, a shit hole in bucks (apologies to all peep living in wycombe - but lets face it, its still a shit hole). I've noticed there seems to be more and more VR's around the place. Firstly theres mine, then theres a Grey R reg 3dr driven by a lady that always passes me coming out of wycombe in the morning. Then there's a mystic blue 3dr on the same business park as i work in. Then most lunch times i see a bloke in p plate black 3dr driving about near the train station. Yesterday around 5:30pmish i saw RALA's(?) VR. I'm sure he's a member on here. This morning i

thanks for the advice chaps. Was Close to giving the man the money and picking it up but then also found a red colour concept - lady owner fsh, £... bargain price. Should be going to pick it up on Thursday - if that falls thru then will re direct to the 16v. [ Edited Tue Mar 22 2005, 05:13PM ]

erm... at the moment definately an addition. I'm looking at an 8v (previously owned) or 16v MK3 as a everyday motor. Also I'm on the lookout for another VR. Nothing wrong with mine except its a 5 door and in the wrong colour... oh and its not a highline! Performance wise i dont think the 16v is much different to the VR6. Although it will obviously lack the grunt of the sixpot. I'm just wondering about drivability of them, whether you have to race the knackers of the thing to get it moving or not. The 8V is a nice tool round town but too slow for the open road.
  6. I know this is a vr site, but has anyone had any experience of these cars? I've come across a 5dr(!) 1998, 1 Owner vehicle at a very reasonable price. The car is mint. I've not driven it yet, never been in one either. Anyone know anything about them? I know they are 150bhp, 0-60 7.9secs etc. But engine reliability etc etc? Cheers
  7. Mark, I owned a T5, and to be perfectly honest i reckon sometimes you'll have more fun driving that around than a VR! It will whoop a VR (standard) on a straight easily. They are very refined and really comfortable. I actually still miss the tank. Mine was a lovely met burgandy with full black leather. The 2.3 sounded so creamy and velvety. Bullet proof engines as well. They can be easily chipped up to about 270bhp. Then Porsches will have trouble keeping UP WITH YOU!!! Do the right thing mate.... go swedish
  8. These are big things in the USA. Been around for about 20 years or more. My mate used to have one on his E30 3 series motorsport... if you want to keep off the stone chips then they are excellent. To be honest it didnt look at the gay on his...
  9. Well to cheer my self up this evening i'm going to switch off my phone, have a few beers and relax... best not to have any Stella's though... cuz we all know they're known as wife beaters! Have a good evening Fella's/girls. Hopefully not too many of you will be posting up on this thread come monday morning!!!
  10. None of my cars have ever given me as trouble as my girlfriend has :@ Why do we put ourselves thru' a load of ball ache? ?! If i got rid of missus i reckon i'd have enough money to buy Simons (six appeals) lovely VR !heart , Add a supercharger, gold plate the engine bay, have diamonds inserted into the front headlamps and still have change for a pint of kroenenburg! I think we should make this thread a sticky and everytime one of us fella's has a problem with our woman (or man.. if your that way inclined) we can dispose of a little stress and headache here... ?! P.S... Andy (acf
  11. and the moral of the story is.... KEEP IT STANDARD!! lol. Sorry Clive, hopefully you'll get the twin pipe you wanted.....
  12. You can buy my VR6 mate... £3600 and its yours! Have you ever driven a VR? Definately recommend you do before you start searching. Strange cars.... Real heavy and lack lustre at lower revs but then pulls like a train and wont stop once you get to 4000revs. If fuel economy is important... dont buy a VR. Everyday use? i doubt you'll better 23mpg. Dont want to say this but you might wanna look at a Pegeout (typo?!) 306GTI-6. light weight, 168bhp (I think) handles much better than a vr and will cost less to run.... mind you... it is fackin french... which shouldnt bother you too much cuz you alrea
  13. 84k on a 1997 P. Due for a service any second now...
  14. i've seen those on a black highline... jaw dropping effects on the right car/colour and ride height. I dont think there are better looking wheels for the VR than those RS6 wheels.... however i dont think the colour of your motor suits the wheels Minty.. if u know what i mean.... which u prolly wont cuz even i'm confused by my own posts sometimes...
  15. that looks like a seriously clean motor. I'm off to have a look on Autotrader for a black highline!
