Hi Mark Just seen your post. I guess it's a risk we all take when giving our cars some - I just know how tempting it is in your car!! I must have very lucky to have never been caught whilst I had it.... Mina

There's always the vids from the last RR day (;->

Hi Everyone Now I can sleep knowing that it's in safe hands....... As for the rr day - get ready for some pretty big numbers - it's really gonna give Vince's rollers something to think about this time!! Cheers Mina

Exhaust Back Pressure when S/C

I kept the cats on my s/c Golf - it had Miltek sports cat. I would recommend you keep them on to maintain sufficient back p[ressure and your ear drums! Cheers Mina -
Hi Olly Have had a drive in a 2.7 Bi-Turbo S4? I did last week and to be honest I didn't find it that quick - esp compared to a Shricked N/A VR6 (never mind my old Golf). It's a heavy car and the power delivery is quite lazy. It's probably more fun with stage 1 or 2 remap - but as you know modding cars is a slippery slope! Hope you find a car soon! Cheers Mina

If you've got a Z charger - you can't increase the boost. But if you've got a Vortech - then you can by changing the pulley for a smaller one. Chris at C2Motorsports can supply you - they do variety of sizes from an 8psi wheel upto 15psi. I had an 11psi wheel on mine and it absolutely flew. Be careful you don't run too much boost as it will put additional strain on your headgasket, fuelling etc. Cheers Mina

Superchargers... Z-Engineering v VF-Engineering
mina replied to Ferrari VR6's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Chris at C2 is really helpful - he supplied an 11psi wheel and dual idler pulley system for my previous Vortech charged Golf. Mina -
Hi Everyone The first thing to clarify is what makes people think a car is quick - in many cases it's a steep torque that is often produced by turbo'd cars (esp diesels) - it's that sudden acceleration after not much at first that makes passengers believe they are in a quick car. The torque curve on VR's is alot smoother - even after strapping a VSR or Supercharger - which is why they don't feel that quick - but in reality they are!! It's their ability to keep producing power at higher revs unlike alot of turbo cars that really tells. Now if you have a VSR and a supercharger then it's get inte

Looks like we're getting back to that debate around whether it's worth spending loads on a car to make it faster or just buy a fast one with all the bits already fitted!

Don't forget guys....power is nothing without control. Oh and other bits will break - so that £3k will quickly start going up! Mina

Wheel wax also helps - the dust will then rinse off without any need for wheel cleaning products. Then you can just rinse with water every couple of days. Mina
