  1. well the mk2 has a tsr 2ltr 16v in it with cams and full supersprint system so it not exactly stock !amazed ....on a test thrash with minty there is very little in it up to 80mph but then the big vr comes in to its own and that was game over ...........ive had a couple of rips with with a mates corrado 2ltr 16v and nearly hit him up the arse .........to be honest i dont think from my experience with the 1800 16v it would'nt come close to the vr
  2. landrover swb(what i passed my test in and used for my 1st summer on the road) Golf gti mk1 1800 (my 1st ever car, and still own it 12 years on ) Golf gti mk1 1600 Golf gti mk1 1600(still own it) Golf gls mk1 Astra gte mk1(minty old motor) Golf gti mk2 8v Golf gti mk2 16v(daily driver) Vr6 highline (the weekender)

  4. so ask him how much for 8 .......they may come down a bit more
  5. thats your problem.........im running 215s at the mo but looking to get 205s.........my vr does the very same but ive got a 40mm drop......... you could have your arches rolled/pulled as this would also sort it out!
  6. it could be worth getting a garage to set it up for you
  7. what size tyres are you running ?!
  8. timing is possible..........did you set the car up your self or do you have a timing light so on.......i'm only speaking from my experience with 8 & 16v golf's so the vr may be a bit different. when ive had to set my 8v after a new cam belt, you can feel the difference as you advance the timing while on a road test!
  9. i need to get 4 too....maybe we could get some sort of discount some where [ Edited Fri Jul 30 2004, 10:02PM ]
  10. claire....... you can count me in too, deff one day probably both
  11. sorry to hear that mate the clutch noise could be your thrust bearing.....................as for a lack of power...if you've got a spark on all cylinders then i'd do a compression test...and take it from there really! [ Edited Fri Jul 30 2004, 09:42PM ]
  12. i'd say camber also................check out http://www.blackcircles.com/?c1=ppc_online&source=ovuk&kw=on_line_tyres or ebay as you can get tyres at a fraction of the price [ Edited Wed Jul 28 2004, 11:25PM ] [ Edited Wed Jul 28 2004, 11:26PM ]
  13. i agree olly.....6x9 on an mdf shelf sound great....ive got them on my mk1 & 2 8o) .................acf am i correct in saying you feel a 2 speaker system......is better :? ?! ...................or do you just mean on the rear shelf of mk3s there is no need for them ?! shame.....looked like a nice example
  17. Ok can you just clarify for me what you get for £280? Is it a milltek cat back system...........or a miltek cat back system with a de cat pipe...........de cat's normally sell for about £90 so that would be a good price if it includes one otherwise I think you'll find that about what they go for!
  18. TSR....280 Including vat...£11 carrage.......what make is the de cat pipe..........i did'nt think milltek make one :?
  19. looks like a clean example...very nice 8o) ,are you going to do somthing with the headlights ?!
