  2. 215-45-17 will give the wrong rr....you should have 40s...i'm running 215 40 17 on mine at the moment 40mm drop and problems front and rear...so looking at 205 and possible arch work &|
  3. I had the same problem with them regarding these wheels......but i never handed any cash over as they were too vague as to when i might get them
  4. When i spoke to vw customer service to find out the history of my vr. they told me it came with 1/2 lther out of the factory,it does however have full lther :? ...im not sue but i think you could have this by special request
  5. dito......motor sport badge looks cool 8o)
  6. Ive heard a couple of people having maf problems due to oiled filters on there vr's.....mark had x2 maf's on his ibiza because of this problrm.........we are also looking into the metal gauze type filter
  7. You can get a turbo kit for the vr which cost around £3000........giving you somthing like 280-300bhp.......then your up with the big boys 8o)
  8. 15" are standard for the vr anyway so like acf8181 said as long as they are the correct offset and pcd you should'nt have any problems
  9. Tommy I am not worried about the front but the rear I will get the rear arch rolled or cut! But i still have the tyre problem can't get a set 0r 215/45*16' date=' the set of wheels and tyres came off a Japanese VR6 Vento. The 215/45*16 that came with the rims are knackered thus i am now stuck, will 215/50*16 fit? :? BTW tommy what problems you have with the front? Thanks for the help guys [/quote'] imo 215-50-16 are going to cause you problems......the rr is going to be greater which wont help you much....is it that you cant find any 215 45 16's or is it that they are very expensive ?! .hav
  10. i'm running rh zwi's 8x17 with 215-40-17.........40-50mm drop(not on coilover though) with lots of problems.....both the front and rear's rub..am thinking about 205's as it might pull the tyre in enough to clear.....imo 225's are far to wide for standard arches.....would say your better off with the 215s
  11. LMFAO.........it the 17" wheels that slowed him down honest
  12. Sounds like a plan....would be up for that.....19th would be better for me but could make 22nd if that turns out to be the date chosen
  13. Just got my times off minty as i left them in his car on sunday Car Spec:standard Morning runs.... 15.642 @ 89.45 15.694 @ 90.48 Afternoon runs..... 15.429 @ 90.54 15.451 @ 90.28 15.584 @ 91.04 15.754 @ 90.71 Very Pleased with the result as it was my 1st time ever on a 1/4 mile
  14. Did you get your arches sorted in the end though Tommy? With mine I recon I can get possibly another 20mm on the coilovers before they are at the bottom of there thread its that low already! But only if I go for 205's to give me a bit more room. f*** that's low 8o) ... ive had 5mm machined off the rear spacer's which has improved the rear no end but they hit on the forward face of the inner arch still....the fronts are just dangerous ~ &| it hits the plastic inner arch and the lip so highspeed cornering is out of the window at the moment......i really need coilovers so i can hard
  15. cool......just out of interest are you running ?! 205 or 215s.......i'm thinking of changing mine as 215 seem to catch on the front and rear ~
  16. nice mate.....are those wheels rh zw1 by any chance
