    spoke to my local dealer today.....he said you cant just buy the rubber surround ~ and if any of you ever lose the rubber gutter off your mk3 dont bother asking vw how much a replacement is as its £125 per side &| .....scrap yard charged £15

    I still use my standard vw jack just to lift the car a few mm so my trolly jack can fit under the car with a rubber pad on it so as not to damage anything or like the others say a block of wood does the trick
