    Not to sure about the galvanised thing but I did take my vr back to vw when it was under warranty over the door seals rusting in the usual place.....my car is a 97 with full vw history but the guy who does claims informed me that vw would not class this under warranty as its on a seam...hope you have better luck than I did as they tend to use every trick in the book to get out of doing it.... if you do have any joy though, could you give me the dealership's number as I?ll be getting in touch with them too

    Mine has needed topping up once since its last service 7000miles ago...I run 10/40 semi...I suppose oil consumption may be a bit higher if you use a thinner fully synthetic oil though!

    Ive got aa roadside relay....... they don?t charge you per mile with relay like others can....I do something like 25000 miles a year so they have come in handy....my mk2 dropped a piston when I was on holiday in Ireland a couple of years ago and they brought me home...the tow could have cost me about £1200 from a private company to bring me and the car back to my front door...instead it cost £88 for a years member ship

    Welcome Mate.........as madmonkee said it one of your speed sensors playing up....mine used to do that too...a replacement sensor for the rear is £73 from vw..g&s or euro car parts do one thats cheaper...about £49 ish...not sure about the price of the front though, if you run vag com it should tell you what sensor is at fault

    I don't rate bp ultima myself...ive used it before but it didn?t seem to make any difference.....I always use optimax.......ultima is ron 97 or super unleaded with some cleaning agents...optimax is ron 98....think it just comes down to personal preference!!!!

    i did try to clean mine when the light stayed on but it made no difference.....i use brake cleaner on it!! from what ive been told once they start to play up thats it...replacement time iam afriad...not sure how much a pattern part cost or if you can get one but mine came from vw £73 &|

    I think the type of light is called a projector light :? If you want to upgrade your bulbs you could using somthing like 100/120...instead of the standard 55/60....ive put these bulbs in my mk2 as the lighting is really bad....you would have to use a reay with this power lighting though...but it would transform your lights!!
