  1. Here's mine 24v 4motion vr6
  2. We don't get that engine over here nothing like Europes 12v inlet in completely different
  3. Regrettably my pride and joy is going up for sale, she's a 2003 4motion 2.8 bde engine in rare anthracite blue pearl only a handful of these were produced and hard to come by, she's done 88000 will go up as I'll still be using it and I'm the 3rd owner I've had her 2 years coming up and have carried out what ever it's needed as well as mods that I wanted doing which are as follows Powerful mid section with standard rear box has a lovely rasp, Decat pipe 25mm h&r springs Poly bush top mounts, anti roll bar bushes, dog bone mount and rear trailing arm bushes. Quantum tuning remap
  4. That's not a obd2 engine picture it's a 24v
  5. 13000 miles? And had a full respry?
  6. It's fsi so will have a high and low fuel pressure sensor, fuel pressure needs to be checked via vagcom etc, there not like 2.8s etc completely different
  7. It ain't got launch control for a start, why would u disconnect it? That's just a bodge, when u changed it did u save the coding and to input it again when replaced ? Check all this then get it tracked up and go from there
  8. With a de cat pipe it will put a fault up for bank 2 sensors (after cat) I had mine mapped out when I de cated mine, with a fault there the ecu goes in to a "basic" setting as it's picked up a fault, i.e. U'll lose power fuel consumption etc
  9. Code read the convenience unit all runs the that
  10. U want improve mpg but the car will pull better look at jbs vvt attack remap
  11. Nice looking bay that, is the body work been done now?
  12. Never replaced a crank sensor on a vr, code read would point you in the right direction
  13. Bloody hell sorted this months ago! Thanks anyway gearbox hadn't been fitted right
  14. Fault codes are guides not definitive answer to cars problem, u need to live data it check Miss fire counters for each cyclinders etc if u don't want to spunk out on a sensor and only get oem
  15. Sounds like timing chain if it's noisey, I'll post a pic of my car when I'm back home so u can compare, vvt solenoids make it run rough on idle, if u can get hold of Vag com u can check chain stretch in channels 108/109 anything more than -10 kw chains need replacing
  16. Mk4 are prone to stone rash espically 32s mines having a front end paint soon, do a hpi check if I haven't already
  17. Ur checking the right one yea? i own the same car and I'm a vw tech there fiddly and tucked away, have u done any data logging?
  18. Yea it is a vr6 that's why it looks the same! What fault code is coming?correlation fault? Is it running rough?
  19. Bde have individual coils, could still be the crank sensor breaking down, even tho it " checks out" not a nice job either
  20. That's an early gti/vr6 splitter from ones with arches and side skirts later vr6s have a much smaller front splitter that look abit naf
  21. No it won't I have a v6 4motion that's custom mapped doesn't do anything of the sort, stock redline is 6200 rpm mines 7200 rpm
