Turbo coming Sunday [emoji108]?
-
So thought I'd make a build thread as I'm now collecting parts for my "budget build" The turbo I'll be using is a k16 from a Bentley continental GT as the exhaust ports match the vr6 will have a custom flange as these slide on as oppose to bolt on Walbro 255 pump Stock compression Universal intercooler, oil feeds etc 440cc injectors Then a custom map Hoping for 300 useable/reliable power as I dont want to loose the reliability/ use ability of the golf So far it's got better brakes, bushes, tyres Plan is to make it as oem as possible This is the car I'll add to this as and when [emoji106]

Stock fuel pumps max out aat about 250bhp, just run an I line one or replace the intank one, injectors 330cc or more fuel ref will be ok [emoji1303]

Get it on vagcom if u can, u can check the chains via the variator readings, can sensors are easy but use genuine [emoji1303]
-
So is it over heating? The fans run at a low speed when the ac is on then come on when it gets to a certain temp, normally they don't work at all common fault with them control units, as for the oil leak ideas on where it's coming from,?!
-
Have u pulled the fuse out then tried it c if it's definitely that?
-
-
That answers that thanks pal

They ain't money pits both mine have been the most reliable cars I've had and I've had a lot, were trying to keep another one going not discourage! There easy to work on simple electrics blah blah unlike modern shite cars
-
Now 4/500£ done up correctly £2000 plus but there starting to creep up now, only thing is once u have drove it u won't want to get rid ask anyone on here hahaha
-
Anyone??????
-
Damn right it's worth doing!! Not many in that colour either, timing chain is a serviceable part like anything if the oil changes have been neglected it won't last as long as one that hasn't, it will have an obvious scratching type noise from the gear box side as its on that side on these

As above can anyone tell me which way the inlet is meant to work on a 24v? Mine is pulled down on idle up to 4200rpm the opens up after that but I've looked at tt 3.2 work opposite so don't know what's right/wrong?!
-
24v Engine still not running right.

Check what the vvt is doing on live data could have an issue there, lightly press the clutch pedal if u can feel it kicking back the dmf is fucked -
On Google says u have to elongate the holes which isn't a issue found these tho 24V (4-motion, R32 MK4, TT etc) High performance big bore manifold. Cast stainless steel port-matched flanges. Suitable for N/A and S/C applications. Compatible with Dubpower twin de-CAT pipe.

Can anyone on here tell me if mk4 r32 manifolds fit a 2.8 4mo? Bde engine? Can't find much on google they look the same but thought I'd ask Cheers guys [emoji1303]
