  1. the disc is held in place by the wheel and its 5 bolts, if you remove the wheel the disc will normaly be loose,
  2. personaly i wouldnt bother with either, the same goes for the mk4 bolf front conversion, lmao i wonder if anybodys put a corrado front end on there golf? now that would look f-d up!!
  3. most ppl here are mk3 golf owners so they/you might look at it differently, i actualy think it looks alwite,
  4. also cover the seal in oil, this will stop it binding/gripping as you tighten it down, imagine trying to tighten a nut up against dry rubber, it would just grip and give you the wrong torque reading,
  5. check for splits/cracks in the plastic, and becareful not to over tighten it..
  6. probably easyer to go and buy an aircon model vr6, heres a rough idea of what you will require,Air con compressor, reciever dryer,condenser/rad,longer alternator belt, plus all associated wireing, controls and pipework, then labour to install or labour to vacum and fill the system. probably mist bits out aswell.not worth the hassel bud
  7. possibley a combination of chains and something else, deffo get it checked out, sounds like a frikin tractor....
  8. one big bolt straight through, i cant remember the size though, theres 2 seals, one goes between the block and the cooler {has little tabs/ears which is the top seal in pic} and the other goes between the cooler and the bolt flange.
  9. to put a vr6 in a mk2 is it fairly straight forward with the mountings?
  10. powernut you got 1 hell of a sick thread on the caddy forum! loved reading that! hope you get your problem sorted...http://www.vwcaddy.com/showthread.php?t=23553
  11. the one thing ive learnt since owning my corrado is "buy cheap Buy twice" ill leave that with you..
  12. hellloooo, what benefits does one get by paying £10.00? thanks..
  13. lol grab yourself a cuppa T this is a legendary build!!! http://www.vwcaddy.com/showthread.php?t=23553
  14. hes probably made a new account, i think a moderator could find out by matching up the I.P address of his original account with the newly made one? unless he has fxxxd off, which in that case good fkn ridence!!
  15. mine had this, would only do it when the back end was jacked up,i replaced my oil cooler seals and the knock sensor seal along with my oil filter the same time i did an oil change, you can do the oil cooler seals without stripping the front of the car,{on a corrado} its tight in there though
  16. sorry but i dont get why you wouldnt go and see the vehicle first? you kinda walked blind into that.
  17. seriously whatever company aligned that needs shutting down, theres noway my local company would allow that, potentialy putting other road users at risk for looks that arent even good, rant over lol
  18. fairly sure adding more welds on the wishbones wont make a slight bit of difference, they just go up and down,
  19. lol yea along with "this thing runs on diced lions", dont belive everything you hear. i also remember hearing about the fuel injected into the exhaust, cant remember if it was on top gear? or if i read it? anyway blinding motor
  20. errr mk4 24v 2.8 4mo 3dr in black! get a nice one with leather interior, seen them on ebay with 90k-120k go for around £2500.best of both worlds
  21. yea im realy pleased with them, thought they were gona be a real hard/harsh ride, but if anything they feel abit softer then my old springs, yea for protection i used a small amount of copper grease which i put on after the install so it wouldnt get to messy
  22. yea skrewing the rod into the rod end will move your wheel out, i.e will make your passenger wheel turn left, the other end of the track rod is a fixed balljoint, my advice is to get it as best you can so its driveable then book it in at target for laser wheel alignment, because your never get it as good as them, without the right tools, mines going down next week for that, as ive just replaced the suspension and various bushs/balljoints.my steering wheel is pissed 90 degress and pulls slightly left,
  23. there sick! not harsh a ride at all,buy them you wont be disapointed, had fun fitting these, i also ordered new bolts and nuts,
  24. yea even if the leads are incorrectly fitted it can still idle ok but if you boot it the fault will become apparent,
