done mine,go to auto elec/lucas house, they got it in stock, realy easy to do, just get some small jubille clips aswell, if you have trouble getting the hose on because its too tight, just put the hose end in hot water as it will soften it up, some say to remove the fuse for the fuel pump and crank it over to remove the pressure in the hose but tbh i wouldnt bother as long as your prepared for the spray of petrol with a rag etc when you remove the hose all should be ok.

i tryed putting new bearings in mine, i messsed mine up, the bolt that holds it is left hand thread so it stripped the threads also for love nor money couldnt get the bearing out of the pulley! it wouldnt press out nor hammer out with the right size socket, the pulley actualy started splitting,im not dumb when it comes to bearings either but somthing wasnt right. just brought a complete assembly as i knackered the threads anyway.

i reved the engine without the airbox to see if there was any change in the engine noise and it was still as quiet as a mouse also doesnt even sound like a vr6 its just flat out quiet, the exhaust is completly standard and seems to have 3 silencers and one cat.

cant say to much as im sure the guy who did that loves what hes done and tbh thats what counts, but that isnt a golf anymore. its more like a honda civic!, fibre glass body kits, big speakers imo dont belong on a vw! less is more!

how many layers of basecoat do i need on my boot?? PIC'S
Vw_owner replied to paceo's topic in Bodywork and Styling
to be fair its the clearcoat thats the important one, im no pro but as long as its all even and theres no colour/primer showing from underneith you should be ok at 2coats, heres some of my handy work over the past 2months of learning to spray with a compressor from this tired old bumper unfortunatly as i was sanding out the orange peel i went abit to much on the edge and it went through the lacqour so ive got to re lacqour the whole thing again! a prety tough lesson learnt! but onced re lacqoured it should turn out even better! just need the weather to clear up to have another bash. -
imo its gone way passed rubber bullets.

uk laws and human rights etc needs a radical change, im prety sure if this was happening else where i.e america or china these scum would of been already shot with real bullets not plastic ones, but instead its allowed to be continued ruineing more peoples homes and lifes.also how are working class people supposed to earn a liveing now there bussiness's have been destroyed! not to mention the people that have mortgages and cant go to work to pay that!
-
its nuts, i luckily dont live in the uk so im not affected by whats going on but its plain to see the police dont have the authority to lay down the law! these muggs would of already been shot, yet there still free to rome around ruining other peoples lives and homes 2days on!

hi m8, when my car had ideling problems it turned out to be the maf connection plug, the way the cable was routed, water would run down it into the plug, it would idle up and down constantly , so check that and i would clean ya Maf sensor aswell as these can get caked in oil, other then that get ya car hooked up to VAGcom might help.

lol yep' date=' quite literally burn, saying that my vr {engine wise}has wanted little money except petrol, its mainly haveing an 18 year old car that tends to eat up my money [/quote'] I find that this is the fun part of owning my VR6, (not the expense bit im loathed to spend yet more money on it lol) that they need maintaining, you can dismantle the whole thing and put it back together and it wont have a tantrum about it, and that most can be done by yourself cos its from the previous generation, just old enough that everything can be taken to bits but just new enough to take advantage of th

lol maybe a stupid question but is the temp in the car set to cold?

pop down to interseals or ring um up and explain what you need the glue for, they should have plenty of different adhesives instock.

haha yea saw it on facebook guernsey classifieds,i was in there like swim wear just finished off the fuel lines so its now driveable, needs 2 new tyres, oil cooler seals and an oil change, at the mo the oil level is dangerously low,and the rear disc pads need doing and the exhaust is getting changed as its so so quiet you can barely hear it, doesnt even sound like a vr6 imo.might just sort out the problems and give it a good clean and put it up for £1000 o.n.o as i dont realy need another car but i could hardly turn down a vr6 for £200

ah cheers, didnt realy take a good look at the TB but it all looked prety much the same as my corrado so that makes it obd1!

ok scrap the galaxy, an hour later a mk3 golf vr6 came my way for £200! the guy had it advertised as possible clutch problem as it didnt drive,my m8 towed me to my works carpark ,i had a proper looksy and found that the driveshaft had comeloose and as a result he had bent and sheered the bolts off the flange, not a problem for me as i have a brand new bolt set which i didnt use on the corrado! fitted the driveshaft back with new bolts about 2 hours ago, just need to replace the fuel hoses in the bay as there perished and spraying petrol everywhere! he must of been useing it like that! th
