when i 1st got my car it would kangaroo, might be your version of judder?,new HT leads solved the problem.

glad to hear you got milltek, you wont be disapointed m8,you realy do get for what you pay for, just replaced mine with miltek decat system {oval end pipe}as i wasnt happy with how loud and ugly my exhaust was which was on the car when i brought it, And WOW! it was like driveing a completly different car! throtle response has tightened up and just felt alot quicker in the lower rev range, deffinatly worth it!
-
i would recomend getting a miltek exhaust with decat pipe, made a massive difference compared to the drain pipe fitted by a previous owner, made it very smooth and tightened up the throtle response in the lower rev range, sounds good to

one way we diagnosed a gearbox fault on my m8s caddy was to jack the front up on stands and drive it through the gears like you would normaly and at the same time have a scout in the bay listening for noises etc, sure enough his box was fooked,as it was grinding when decelerating, so we changed his 4spd box for a 5speed box hes chuffed to bits now

nice luke, part numbers aswell it started fine this morning sods law ,it only sometimes does it, but ill have a butchers at that check valve for good measure.thank you...
-
yea thats what i was thinking, my old mk4 golf primed when you opened the door same as yours, ill ask on the corrado forum as most peeps here have mk3 golfs,

my m8 did a scan on vag com a few weeks back, there were some fault codes which he cleared, the only one that looked suspect was crank poistion sensor, but that comes up anyway when not running? didnt see anything for lambda/02 sensor, i think the other codes have been there a long time, i'll get him to do it again and see what pops up, but i dont think anything will as its running sweet, maybe i have a slight leak in the petrol line some where that drops the pressure enough to cause a bad 1st start but not bad enough to see any fluid?
-
ah ok,well the only thing wrong is the first start in the morning, its sometimes hard to start {4secs max} and when it does start its like if it wants you to put your foot down abit, but if you switch off and start again its perfect! ,like if its built enough fuel pressure up,also it will be fine through out the day, car runs sweet, had new leads, plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm,am i just being anal?

hi peeps, on the first turn of the key should i be hearing my fuel pump prime?
-
this noise, does it do it whilst coasting in nuetral? decelerating? get louder turning and accelerateing?, when was the last time you checked/changed transmission fluid?,
-
ah glad you got it sorted, wrong way around? damn didnt think of that!
-
try a different battery,or you can test your battery and alternator output useing a volt meter, http://www3.telus.net/chemelec/Projects/Alternator/Alternator.htm or go on youtube theres how to guides on there.

unplug the maf and spray wd40 on its electrical contacts, dont worry it wont damage anything, even if it looks dry, if theres any moisture it will displace it,

i got this problem on my corrado the pins are worn, you can lift the door up n down by about 5mm and if you look at the pin area you can see the movement, got the pins ready but haveing problems getting the old ones out, dont know if there the same as mk3 golfs? but anyone had any luck with these?
-
good point about the pressure build up, not 100% on this but if you look at my picture on page 1 you can see the block where it bolts to and a large circular hole {not the center hole} and on page 2 my picture that shows the bolt has holes in it, i think the oil flows through the large circular hole then through them holes in the bolt { center hole}back into the sump/engine? so not much to get blocked realy, i could be wrong though.
-
thats a prety gnarly leak dude, idd order a new seal im prety sure that lip is only there because its been created over time by it being installed,i could be wrong though? i dont remember the front seal haveing a lip, part number for that seal is 038 117 070
-
yea thats what they were like, hard as fook!, the only time mine leaked though was if the car was faceing down hill or i had the back end jacked up, i was doing an oil change so i just thought xxxx it! lets get stuck in,did the knock seals aswell, added ptfe tape for good measure, i dont like leaks.
-
heres a pic of that bolt and its old seal when i did them for sh1ts and giggles, oil on that seal would deffo help to stop it twisting as you tighten it up,btw i dont know how you get your oil? but if your not getting discount on it go to auto elec and just ask for cash trade on it.
-
shit m8 somethings not right, you got the right seals? and as mentioned the seal that goes between the motor/cooler has locating tabs idd make sure there in properly they may have poped out when bolting it up?,,
-
2.5kgm {18ft.lb.} just did mine up fairly tight, hasnt leaked since i replaced those seals.
