  1. ill get some pics up as and when but details so far.. rubjonny is makeing me the loom up for £100 http://www.clubgti.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=234432 getting united motorsports to delete the immo and switch immisions off on the ecu {£100}, the down pipe needs attention, i figure i could use the top half of the 24v and then fab the bottom of the 12v to it? dont know until i start but thats the plan for that, front mount needs a spacer between the bolt and engine, useing the 12v water houseings, useing corrado pas with 24v pully with a none air con belt, my friend rick whos and audi techn
  2. lol aint quite at the twin engine stage , 24v BDE from a 4mo, should be here this week ,
  3. ah do it!! just treat it as a project though seeing as its been sat, just realised i aint updated this inawhile, got something big ligned up for the corrado in the next few weeks! 12v more
  4. this supposed to be a sound clip? doesnt work for me,
  5. sorted it today, lol i wish i had my phone with me to take pics!! some one at some point had repaired it with an old jigsaw blade and a small pen knife blade wrapped around the lock {tiny little loop} with copper wire, it had failed because the jigsaw blade had literaly rotted away, fixed it by cutting a strip of metal and welding it to a small peice of metal which was passed and bent through the lock loop before being welded,. solid as f%$^!! thanks tony i would of otherwise been searching for an electrical fault
  6. checked the lock today tony and i think your right about door handle, i removed the door card and looking at the lock barrel some one has wrapped copper wire around it, theres like a bar with teeth and the wires wrapped around that , also when you turn the key the whole barrels turns and theres like rubber at the other end, i didnt have a torx key handy to remove the handle , im assumeing its that 1 torx key bolt in the door shut and then the handle just pops out?
  7. na you turn the key nothing happens , it just turns freely both ways, its exactly the same for the passenger side aswell, so seeing as its the same for the passenger side would that indicate its not the rod in the drivers door? ill check it out though cheers..
  8. i checked a few fuses, 10,14,21 even though on the panel it didnt say anything about any fuses being listed for locking, there all good and as far as i know all electrics work as they should, i also forced the drivers door pin down to lock the car and all the other door pins went down with it and when i pulled it up they all came back up, so that indicates no leaks in vacum system, iv unpluged the vacum pump but cant see any corrosion or any sign of damage around the connection plug, the earth for it is also good, also when i turn the key in the door theres nothing its just dead, cant hear any
  9. the front elecy windows work , the rear havnt worked since i got the car, i checked the fusebox panel under the steering wheel and couldnt find anything listed for central locking, but ill check it anyway cheers.
  10. hi guys, i have a 93 mk3 golf vr6 doesnt have any after market central locking immobilizer or anything like that, the key turns both ways freely but nothing locks! same for the passenger door lock aswell, a few weeks ago i replaced the passenger rear light cluster as it was corroded and was messing up my indicators but thats been replaced and then the locks just suddenly stopped working the other day, any ideas? cheers
  11. cheers bud, yea i know what you mean black seems to be quite rare,a few pop up on ebay from time to time, infact this corrado used to be white! but if it wasnt black i wouldnt of brought it, had no idea i'dd be doing this to it when i brought it though..

  17. thanks to the help of friends we got the windscreen fitted and the wireing looms through the bootlid and wired up, screen fitting imo deffinatly a 2 man job, wasnt hard but it wasnt easy, its just a case of measure twice cut once, just had to dry fit the screen with the trims and seals and adjust the wedges along the bottom edge till its in , then remove the screen and apply adhesive then refit up against the wedges,
  18. ah buisy sunday! got around to cleaning up my bumper gave it a machine polish, fitting tail lights and a few other bits n bobs! tomo gona get some cavity wax for the shutz gun and wax the crap out of the archs from inside then start assembleing the interior, my bits n bobs from vw
  19. far to much work especialy if your lookn at abs delete aswell., imo not worth it especialy on a daily., each to there own
  20. its a bonded screen, trouble is being from the channel islands they are the only place that does windscreens where i live, so its either them or diy! i have a prety good idea on how to install it also have the bentley corrado workshop manual with instructions so its not to bad.
  21. block sanded the primer back, i used off cuts of cable ties to pack the window seal up so the paint goes underneith, turned out alwite considering i was rushed and i didnt remove the glass, also did these, all red rears, should make a huge improvment, was surprisingly easy to do aswell! also got the boot lid and sunroof fitted, so its actualy looking like a car! still gona need to wetsand {2000} the bonnet also tidey up the doors and wings but everything from now on should be straight forward, got quoted £150 to install my windscreen ! so thats being done DIY or should i say D.I.M { do
  22. right thought idd best tackle the rust repair on the tailgate as it needs welding and thats easier to do off the car rather then risk welding splatter on fresh paint, 2 main areas which need attention, below number plate light surface rust has cracked the paint and bare metal is exposed also has a big nasty hole in the bottome right corner, i did grind out the rust below the number plate light and treated it then skimed the whole are with filler but i forgot to take a pic, i was originaly planning on removeing the screen and properly deleting the wiper hole but due to how long the corrado
